You think Pujols could ever hit for the cycle if pitchers/managers aren't retards?

Cause he hit a HR in his first at bat today, then a triple his 2nd time up...then the pitcher/manager got smart and actually walked him.

I doubt Adrian Gonzalez could do it this year either unless SDG trades for a bunch of bats

And I'm obviously not saying that Pujols or A-Gon don't have the ability to do it, but would any team actually pitch to them that much

Haha, doesn't look like it does it? Regardless, that was the most exciting scoreless half inning I've ever seen.

I don't have the luxury of multiple games at home, so when I go to the bars, it's entertaining to watch.

I was at the Dodgers/Reds game last night... the absolute loudest baseball game I've ever been too. Sure everyone saw it last night or this AM, Manny hit a pinch hit GS HR in front of 56,000 fans. I saw myseldf on SC this morning after he tipped his cap.

I'll be at the Twins/Angels game tonight, flying into Denver Friday morning and will catch the Giants/Rockies Friday night. I've never done 3 stadiums in 3 days and Friday night will be my son's first game.

Someone try and convince me that the Phillies' combo of Utley-Howard-IbaƱez isn't the best 3-4-5-hole batting combo in the majors

wow, Ichiro's walkoff single last night was his first ever walkoff hit as a Mariner. He waited until his 1,953rd career hit to hit his first MLB walkoff.

I know pretty much everything about the Mets farm system too. Sad, I know, but I could probably tell you the scouting report and up to the minute numbers for at least the Top 10-15 guys in the system... and likewise for the Phillies top 7 guys or so.

But I'm not crazy enough to be allowed to call in to WFAN in New York. I need to have a thick ass Queens accent or be high off my ass to even get through the screener. I'm also much smarter than Joe Beningo or any other host other than Steve Sommers.

I got to see Heyward play down in Myrtle Beach earlier this year and he was pretty terrible. Lazy on defense, went 0-4 with 2 SOs and hit into a DP. I was not impressed. Overall the whole team that the Braves have in Myrtle Beach is pretty much shit anyway.

Judging a baseball player by one game is like judging a football player by one series

Plus myrtle beach is like the best pitchers park in the minors

I've never seen Heyward play, but I pretty much bone up whenever I read his name.

[Edited on July 29, 2009 at 3:45 PM. Reason : Can baseball players not qualify academically? That would be some NY Mets shit.]

Your gay little team is 3-7 in the last 10 and you gave up a huge division lead over the course of July. But it's all good, I'd hate the Rays too if they owned my team's ass as much as they do.

And that's all the trolling I'm going to respond to regarding the suck-ass Red Sox.

Not that this is new... but damn, Tim Lincecum is filthy.

115 pitches deep in the 8th inning and he is still getting so many swing and misses... 117 after 8. Send him out for the CG shutout?

I thought Eric Davis accomplished the opposite of this at some point in the 80s. Maybe he didnt not get to 30 Hrs, but didn't he have like 70+ SBs one year and 20+ HRs? Can't check stats at work...

Never mind I found it - 80 SBs and 27 HRs - fantasy pimp right there.

And yes 50 HRs and 30 SBs is fucking fantasy MVP material.
