while I agree that Modern Warfare was a better episode, and probably one of the best 30 minutes of TV ever, last night's returned the show to it's normal formula. Good character driven plot with some subtle meta humor and good pop culture references. Episodes like Modern Warfare are great, but definitely can't happen over and over before you lose a sense of what the show is and who the characters are. The last thing we want is for this show to become a live action family guy built on nothing but pop culture punchlines. And i love pop culture. Community has the perfect balance.

What a fun finale! And the end was awesome...something I was hoping for in the future and didn't really see coming this early on. But after their little tease last week it fit in perfectly.

i think it was more of the writers realizing the jeff britta chemistry never clicked the way they thought and unlike most shows they steered clear of forcing it on us. but they were amazed at how the viewers took to the jeff/annie flirtations and overwhelming chemistry and used these to both tease, anger, then totally shock us all at once. I don't know how they'll open up next season, but whatever it is i'm confident it will work.
