I will be very happy, if Fowler isn't here for one reason or another. With that being said, some people need a reality check. A new AD doesn't mean the top coaches will come here, if anyone retires, takes another job, or is fired. The very top coaches are staying where they are, if they are at a traditional power. Coach K came from Army, Jim Valvano came from Iona, Urban Myer came from Utah, Tommy Bowden came from Tulane, Paul Johnson came from Navy. The power conferences are a whole different animal when it comes to coaching. Some coach make and others don't. Firing the AD isn't the total answer to improving things. You need some luck in there too.

At a minimum a new AD could improve our PR with the local and national media by a damn sight, and I would imagine most ADs wouldn't allow the non-money sports to be as awful as they are (I'm looking at you volleyball). You need some luck but first and foremost you need someone who isn't incompetent or it's a moot point anyway.

actually our non-revenue sports are great with the exception of volleyball, because no one cares about volleyball (just the shorts).

Really? I thought except for cross-country and some of the individual sports like swimming and wrestling it had been a while since we did anything of note. I always hear about us starting decent in baseball/soccer/softball and kind of falling off. But yeah I could very well be wrong there.
