Admittedly, I haven't paid much attention to the draft prospects this year (hard to get excited about it when the panthers don't have a 1st and there's no state guys going early).

Still, based on Mays' combine numbers and reputation, I thought he was a mid-first rounder. Definitely missed on that one.

Well he was pretty much rated the 2nd best safety prospect in the draft...and so far only one safety has gone off the board (Berry....scratch that...Thomas was taken by the Seahawks...I didn't pay enough attention to the draft).

He had a shitty senior year that really dropped him out of teams wasting a 1st round pick on a safety that might not pan out to be that great.
