Yeah it's not exactly analogous but Lopez got slowly pushed out by Conan...his ratings were fine before he got bumped. Not that I'm sad or pissed about it because I don't care for his lame beaner jokes, but it sucks for him.

Even "TNA Impact!," the worst show on television, routinely pulls around a 1.0.

I had just crawled out of bed when I posted that, and didn't even think of union pay. Yeesh.

It's a good time to point out that I watched Conan religiously from around 1996 through 2007, and I haven't bothered to watch his new show more than twice. My TV, when it's on, is pretty much locked to CBS for the late night block (though I will flip to Fallon depending on the musical act).

For those that care, the documentary Conan O'Brien Can't Stop is on Netflix Instant now. I watched it last weekend and I thought it was very interesting. I had no idea how burnt out and pissy he was during the tour but given how many shows he did, I guess it kinda makes sense.

When it comes to comedy sometimes it's hard to put into words what I do or don't like about certain things. I don't know exactly what I don't like about this bit, but I really do not think my wife or I have ever genuinely laughed at it. I guess the only thing I can think of is that it just seems so forced or amateur to me.

After the first half-dozen or so we just started skipping that part on the DVR. I gave it another shot tonight on a recent episode we had DVRd which is what made me realize that it is definitely not for me.

No worries though. If other people enjoy it, it's easy enough for me to skip past
