Not knowing the status of a house that's been in my family for decades is my idea of fun.

Holy mother of fuck you've re-lowered the bar for inane shit said about Katrina.

Step down off your high horse, you act like you have never made an inappropriate joke before.

^^ sure I have, but I don't make jokes about shit that affected real people (i.e., not the football players that lived in cozy suburbs) when the primary topic IS football. No 9/11 jokes, no Miami / hurricane jokes, no I-35 jokes, no earthquake jokes, no failed economy / high unemployment jokes. Why? Two reasons: 1) They have nothing to do with football (which is the only reason I need anyway) and 2) you never know who's reading that might have been affected. I would expect and deserve to get taken to task if I made an auto industry joke, and someone's parents were both taken by GM. You might titter like a 12-year-old after typing tired Katrina joke #3294823094 and clicking "Post Reply," but there exists a chance -- now, 1-to-1 -- that someone on here has a really good reason to not find it funny in the least.

^ I made it out of everything just fine, and feel extremely blessed to say that. Not everyone was so fortunate. I wouldn't wish the shit my family and I went through on anyone. Another poster called him out on how stupid that comment was.

I don't understand how someone can be a Panthers fan and then be on a high horse about cheating in professional football.

i think censoring yourself on the internet for a < 1% chance of offending someone is oversensitive and more ridiculous than any joke that could be told
