how did coaching cause both those fouls. it was javi being an airhead like he does on occasion and the other was bad position on a rebound. but yeh it was 100% coaching

I haven't read any of the thread yet, and I am not normally the type to complain about refs and shit, but I would like to logon and state that this is one of the sloppiest, ugliest, steetball, slugfests that I have ever witnessed. Furthermore, I would like to point out that the majority of the infractions appear to me to be occurring under our basket. That is all.

Maryland really isnt doing anything other than getting rebounds and easy putbacks. We are making this hard for ourselves.

(actually, maryland has run some nice plays on the baseline to get a guy open. gotta take a note on that)

It's not just you. I used to think hat referee Hess had some strange beef against NCSU, but then I looked around the Internet a bit. From the ACC to the Big East to the freakig CAA he's considered the worst referee out there. He's just one of those it's who is so terrible at his job that nobody even thinks to try and fix the horrible job he's doing ot punish him for living up to their expectations.

Eh, I don't know...I think I would have to disagree. I think we played pretty poorly in the first half. That combined with the foul disparity is why we're down by 8. So, I think if we can make some adjustments and play better in the first half we'll be right in this thing. I don't really know what to say about the fouls.

I didn't say 100% coaching. It's 70-80%. Coaching isn't just in game situations. That is a simple "they're holding the ball for the last shot of the half... don't foul" situation that should come up often outside of the game itself. Coaching is not just adjustments, it's preparing your team for scenarios that happen as well.

We'll see how this team rebounds this half. (So far not so good)
