Jimenez is freaking amazing. I wonder if he'll be able to hold up considering he might get 250+ innings and he is skinny as hell. I just hope he's still on fire come the All Star game and that he helps the NL actually win for once.

batter bunts (it was a nice bunt) and beats the throw
error throwing to first, puts men on second and third

all this with 0 outs in the inning, turns into a 3 run inning

i don't care if he plays in the AL, i really don't get why a-rod wasn't covering 3rd on that bunt with runners on 1st and 2nd. that's shit you learn before high school. 1st baseman covers his side, pitcher covers 3rd, 2nd baseman covers 1st. no excuse for him to make that mistake.

I'm not complaining that he isn't a starter, but he should have been a managers pick. He and Pujols are having the best seasons at 1B this year, easily.

Did he have a better first half than Ryan Howard? Yes.
Did he have a better first half than Adrian Gonzalez? Yes. (stupid rule requiring a player from each team)

I would argue that Votto has been THE BEST first baseman of the first half of the season in the National League. Maybe Ubaldo should have been left off the roster, too.
