Just thought to reiterate that I heard Bettman say that this was his favorite skills competition after everything was done yesterday. He seemed quite happy with everything when he left today as well. I also got to talk with the Staal's parents after the game tonight. They were both really friendly.

Also, Wee Man was in the Champions Club today lol

Hell of a job done by the 'Canes and Raleigh this weekend. The Skills competition, the Fan Fair/Wide Open, and even the game were all fun as hell to attend. 'Canes fans really did well, cheering all during the game and giving Francis, Brind'amour, Laviolette, Staal, Skinner, Ward and McBain huge ovations did a lot to make the visitors really respect this market.

man the TV feed does not do the arena justice when Brindy and Francis came out

Doug MacLean loves tailgating!

It was definitely a great weekend. Part of me wants to go to Ottawa next year, just to see if it even comes close to the show we put on here. Being on the club level had it's advantages, I ran into Mario Lemieux, Aaron Ward, Jim Rutherford, Paul Maurice and Kristy Yamaguci randomly. Definitely glad I shelled out the money for this, it was quite awesome!

Odd as it sounds, I sat on my couch with pride this weekend. Raleigh and the Canes knocked this one out of the park and I couldn't be happier about it.

^^ - My fiancee and I got to talk to Doug MacLean quite a bit throughout the game (was also on the club level). He was seriously SO happy all day yesterday! Based on that tailgate video, now I get why

Seriously, it was a great event that we'll be talking about for years to come. The city really did themselves proud this weekend.

Just met Kane, Toews and Sharp in the airport. Hooray later flights through Detroit for work. Nice guys sadly I only got my picture with Kane. Can't believe he was signing Team Canada jerseys. He said it was haven't all week but it is what it is. All very awesome away from the rink and All Star festivities!

^^^^^^^ I used to skate with Doug MacLean's nephew and met him once. Great guy and sent down a whole set of gear for his nephew (this was when he was the GM in Columbus).
