Starting to get better. I really like Tristana, she is super powerful late game. Been dominating most 5v5's i've been playing, wish I could play ranked so I could know if the people were any good!

That is true. It is pretty fun to beat up on baddies. I've been playing a bunch of 3v3's, they are really entertaining. They typically seem to be pretty close and the way the map is designed Tristana is able to dominated with her leaps.

Yeah I've started grabbing a lamp as my first item with Trist in 3v3's so that I can just ward the place up. As long as people can't sneak up on me I can dominate it. Did have a few sleepy moments this morning though where I thought I could jump over the wall and clicked wrong. Always embarrassing.

God, they nerfed the flash distance a few months back.. it used to be longer.

It is even worse with Tristanas jump though, you just lamely jump up against the wall and hang in the air for a few seconds going nowhere. Always fun especially when both your teammates are dead and watching you fail a gank because you can't jump over the wall.

Yeah the disconnects were kind of annoying but you can reconnect instantly and it doesn't port you back to the base. Actually its kinda cool, if you dc and wait 2 seconds to reconnect then you can port back faster than recall lol

I play Lux a lot these days. Landing a solid ult is extremely satisfying.

Unfortunately she kind of gets rolled by a lot of popular mids - Ahri, Cass, Kat, Malzahar all come to mind. You basically just have to get as much as cs as you can and hope that they overextend so your jungler can pull off a gank.

I usually don't get rolled with mid and then once I start hiding in the jungle and getting ult kills, they ff me in any team fight and I spend the rest of the game figuring out what defense gear to get. I sell the soul stealer and the game goes to shit. How do you not fade out late game with lux? My early game is better than my ashe early game but I can't keep it rollin

lux has a great short CD ult and a double root. You either go mage tank (RCS, RoA) or super nuke (max cdr and AP) on her and sit in the back of the team fight flinging and blast away. The trick with lux is keeping your team between you and the enemy

Pick a character, ranged probably a carry with low difficulty and keep playing coop vs ai games. Also check out solomid or mobafire they have decent guides on what to buy, how to use skills effectively etc. Basically don't die.

Basically, what cain said. If you're getting hit by melee as Lux, it's probably too late. You should never even be close to the battle - you pop in and out as cooldowns are up.

Typically, I'll start boots + health pots, then take either blasting wand or Mejai's first, depending on how I think the game is going to go. Deathcap, then Morello's Evil Tome, then Lichbane. I rarely build defensive items.

i played with a couple of the basic characters but i found the most success by far with the hecarim (?) the guy on the horse

probably just style of play but i was murking a few champions on him and not dying as much. So for now i think hell be my go to if available

i had decent success with the amazon woman that throws the big spear, so i think shes a back up

Custom games have a reduced award. If you are playing for exp/IP then you should always go for a matched game, but you will still get something in a custom as long as both teams have the same number of champions

i dont even have access to hecarim yet, i guess i was able to select him for some odd reason one time.

I couldnt afford to purchase him so i bought nunu, nasus, soraka, and sivir. Inexpensive chars but I figured id cover a wide range of niches. Today im going to test run them in custom.

I dont get why i have free to play characters that are always available but I still have to purchase them? What good is purchasing those characters?

BTW i played with annie and i was actually quite pleased i feel like I was able to supress fire to teamates with her fire wave thing and the bear she summons

Sivir is a good ad carry. I really recommend sticking to one and mastering them. Like most games or things in life you'll learn more through repitition and fucking up/losing than jumping around and playing mediocre games

Every week there are 10 free champions. Each week, that list of freebies changes. So if you like a character, buy it so you always have access. I think Hecarim was a freebie last week, but isn't on the list this week so you must buy him to play him.

as for nunu, sivir, soraka, nasus...well its a bit meh. soraka works well as support and nasus is pretty beast when fed, but with the newer champs, nunu and sivir feel pretty reliant on the rest of your team.

sivir was my first buy, but without a reliable escape it can be tough. sure she is fast, but that won't save you from the 900 leaping champions that have come out since. i still like her though.

nunu feels pretty similar. his ult damage scales very nicely, but he doesnt seem as durable as most of the other people that fit a similar role. if that ult gets fucked up (which it often will against a decent team), you are a bit gimped. paired with an awesome ranged ad though he's still fun.

Purchased Varus yesterday and played him some. He's fragile as fuck. Has as strong harass (his Q has range and does a lot of damage), W passive is pretty good, E ain't bad for an AOE slow, and his ultimate works well as a chain CC, but I'm not seeing how he is better than an Ashe or MF.

He simply has zero survivability, but his damage isn't that impressive. Too much glass, too little cannon.
