what the fuck is so complicated for the knicks, give denver galinari, fields, and a 1st round pick or two, and that's it, done

only the knicks management could fuck this up if that's what happens, hell I'm sure that dumbass isiah is personally ruining everything

The Knick's problem is that even with Carmelo, and minus the guys they'd give up to get him, they're still probably only the 3rd or 4th best team in the East.

Its hard to give up all that for a guy who doesn't even make you a lock to get out of the first round.

That's disappointing to hear that he's clashing with Williams. Deron is one of my favorite players in the NBA and arguably the top point guard (easily in the same class as Paul, Rose, Nash, and now Westbrook).

Very interesting.

close to goal tending, but even if it was more obvious, the refs wouldn't make that call in a million years to end a game (unless they have done something like that this season which im sure someone will call me out on)

^^ Suprisingly enough, there is a grain of truth to that. I listen to KLAC streaming for sports radio sometimes and they spend hours breaking down the Lakers every single day.

Anyway, they would heap praise on him and have said numerous times that he was one of the best practice players the Lakers have ever had. They said he couldn't miss from 3 and would routinely score in bunches. Now, obviously that's different from a game, but I can see why he would think that.

That was a huge topic of debate on the station after they dealt him for Smith to shed his salary.

^ Confronting people and demanding respect is about the only way to guarantee that you'll never get respect.

There does seem to be some time warp between the league here in the states vs other parts of the world

Spoke with a German guy last week who claimed to be a huge NBA fan...said his favorite players were Alonzo Mourning, Dirk and Chuck Person, and had no idea who the Bobcats were

Doesn't explain the dyslexic uniform, however

denver seems like they are just being bitter assholes at this point, why would they try to take felton away when they already have the same player in lawson ready to take over? and they couldn't even trade felton for much considering he was only good on the knicks anyway, just wait for billups to retire and accept 1st round picks, galinari or fields for melo

Bitter assholes? They're just being smart. They have a desirable asset, and they want maximum value in return.

How bout the pass from Wade to James last night? If he dunked it, woulda been an all timer.

very very sad news about Brandon Roy if this turns out to be true. Supposedly there are a lot of people who are questioning the credibility of the Blazers training staff with all the injuries they have up there and how severe they turn out to be once surgeons take a look at them. He is one of the most likable, hard-working guys in the league, and just another in a long string of back-breaking injuries the Blazers have had to endure over the last few years

Quote :
"GETTING DEEP INTO BRANDON ROY'S KNEE: I spoke this week with an orthopedic surgeon who is among the growing number of experts around the country who have consulted on the Roy knee situation. Good for the Blazers (and Roy's agent) for doing the legwork here.
Consulting surgeon said that the Blazers had already operated twice before on Roy's knee, and the surgeon said, "Either the original doctor who did those procedures wasn't forthcoming with the Blazers... or the team was in complete denial about what was going on with his knees."
Apparently, no other way to explain Roy's $83 million contract.
I did a team-approved interview with Blazers trainer Jay Jensen after Game 4 of the first round of the playoff series with the Suns last season. (Remember, the Blazers were taking heat from TNT crew for playing Roy so soon after surgery and were eager to get their side public.) I was told that during Roy's surgery, they discovered there was almost no meniscus left to operate on. That explains why Roy came back so soon.
Given that Dr. Roberts is a respected doc who deals it straight, the bet here is that Roberts informed the Blazers that Roy's knees were risky business.
So either we have an organization that ignored a solid medical opinion or looked the other way. Either that, or owner Paul Allen simply made an emotional decision because it was Roy, who had delivered for him so often before. One NBA source told me Friday after considering the particulars, "that whole deal could have easily been a 'Get it done' mandate that was sent from Seattle."
The "consulting surgeon" whispers that he believes the best-case strategy for handling Roy is this: A) Limit Roy's practice reps to almost nothing; B) Play him off the bench in 65-75 or so games a season, choosing rest in key spots; C) pray.
Surgeon suspects the Blazers might get 1-2 years out of Roy employing this strategy.
Right now, I think they'd take that, and hope for the best. Roy is a fierce competitor and I won't count him out.
Roy says he's thinking of making a Feb. 16 return. I don't know if you'll find a soul pulling against the guy."
