I was pleased with our rebounding tonight....that's about the only positive I could take from this game. Leslie is good at getting free and having an open look down low...he just could not knock them down today. As a team, we just shot poorly. Howell played well, which is something that he has not been doing for the most part.

I had to question why Javi and Brown weren't in at the end of the game. We were down by 8 or so and needed shooter. Harrow can't shoot and CJ Williams really doesn't bring much to the table on offense.

I definitely think they missed some calls...but I definitely wouldn't say they cost us the game. 31% FG shooting and lapses on defense cost us the game.

I will say that we can not draw fouls under the basket on offense. Our big guys just go up too weak with the ball and don't draw the whistle. Smith is/was great at getting to the line...Painter, Leslie, and Howell haven't quite learned that yet.

The bottom line is our freshman are still playing like freshman. I think Tracy will help alot because then we can get some inside outside going on but it's gonna take some time to get him back once he can play. Leslie needs to get in the weight room. He can't take a bump and finish right now. If he ever does learn how to he will be pretty good.

Leslie just is not a good 4 or 5 player ... and really not a great option at 3 either ...

Luckily, he does have a knack for rebounds and blocks, else he probably would not get any playing time.

I saw some good things out of Howell in this game ... I say we focus on getting him some more touches inside and see if he can develop his inside moves to become a strong option for us ... cause out of all the bigs, I really think he has the most upside with his wide, strong, frame .... just needs to get more touches .... (just dont give it to him at the free throw line)

Tracy is a ridiculously good finisher and much better inside defender than Painter or Howell. Look at their block%, look at their TO%, look at their shooting percentages. Howell has shown improvement in finishing at the rim, and his offensive rebounding is excellent, but size isn't the issue here. He can't defend the other team's 5. Smith can, Painter can sometimes. Howell can't.

no it was more than that. the booing and griping i'm talking about was during the half court offense...i'm assuming it was because our players weren't moving enough. but whatever the cause, it's uncalled for, especially because of how long it lasted and how quick the crowd was to start the boo machine up on each possession.
