I'll just be happy if they told bands like Luego and the Tomahawks that they can play day parties or not play at all. In fact, I would love to see that email or listen to that conversation...

That would be awesome

I'd also see anybody from Labrador Records (particularly Pelle Carlberg, The Radio Dept. or Sambassadeur)

yeah, but the Saturday headliner.... that alone was better than any headliner last year.

of course, I'm also not a fan of BSS, No Age and Panda Bear is hit or miss. I enjoyed the mid-level acts far more than any of those 3.

I saw the whole lineup. Definitely some really cool shit just feel like last year's lineup was a little deeper and more accessible.

less accessible than Panda Bear?

that was a bold headliner, imho. that's no slight on Panda Bear, as he was obviously in demand, but Panda Bear/Animal Collective are pretty polarizing. (love/hate with most peeps)

^, ^^ yeah, the headliners seem like they aren't geared towards the young people this year

even the flaming lips, while fucking awesome, started in the mid-80s

Most of my favorite local bands.

Including Bombadil and Lost in the Trees, both bands I adore.

And Flaming Lips are indeed headlining.

I like this. I didn't like Panda Bear or No Age that much, and I love me some Flaming Lips.

I took Tommy Wiseau's advice, as I still think we're on similar levels with current music tastes, and softened the blows of the list a tad. I'm not totally disappointed, but on that poster, after halfway down, I'm just all...sigh...

^ i dunno... in that article they clearly say that the festival will include 135 bands, and that is how many bands i counted in the current list. also, last year it clearly said from the beginning that more bands would be announced. i assume they were still fleshing out the line-up but needed to go ahead and start selling tickets. this being the second year, they could have everything in place.

i gotta say, i'm disappointed. last year, i was excited about nearly every other band. there are so many bands i was expecting/ hoping to see in this year's line-up that aren't there (e.g., titus a., okkervil river, deerhunter, woods, to name a few).

well that's your fault, isn't it

just don't buy tickets if you're disappointed

it's easy
