I have a buddy playing as Sal and we (along with another buddy) were in Fink's Arena. He and I died, so we respawn and go up the elevator to help our other buddy, and my Sal friend can't see over the ledge and had to climb on the boxes to help. 10/12/2012 10:15:19 PM |

I think its a huge difference in perspective. First off, everyone's junk is your eye level... I mean I just feel soooo tiny, like odd job back in Golden Eye.
My biggest question is... if he's tiny and has shorter legs, wouldn't that mean his normal, average walk/run would actually be slower than a normal sized human? Just wondering.
Also, I still have a few keys left if anyone is interested. 10/12/2012 10:27:50 PM |

there are ways to get infinite keys, but honestly, it doesn't matter once you get the legendary items in the game. Nothing bests CC + Bee, but maybe a slightly better CC + Bee combo. Maybe add the Sheriff's badge for kicks since reload is +54% faster with extra shotgun dmg.
I donno how they are going to balance end game items in later DLC's other than make lvl 60 bosses insanely hard to kill unless you have CC + Bee, which means normal people without them are just gonna die like a bitch over and over. 10/13/2012 1:19:06 AM |

eff Dukino's Mom (Demon Hunter)
I started at $85k prior to trying to kill her.
After killing her: $40k
Toughest boss in the game so far. Def tougher than BNK3R. 10/13/2012 10:11:03 PM |
JBaz All American 16764 Posts user info edit post |
lol Dukino's mom is an easy boss; way easier than BNK3R and besides, BNK3R is the 2nd to last boss while Dukino is a side quest mini boss. Lose 45k? on noes! Try 5 million per death. 10/14/2012 12:02:01 PM |

I dunno. Dukino's a level 31 boss and she appears to be armored. Not to mention those attacks she does are high-damage. I haven't tried her since hitting 31 myself, but at 29 or 30 I could only get her down to half her health with corrosive grenades and smgs. 10/15/2012 7:48:25 AM |

I'm entirely too ADD for this game. Every time I see the story missions come up, I get sidetracked by new side missions that have opened. Also, again I say, fuck the Caustic Caverns. 10/16/2012 8:55:40 PM |
JBaz All American 16764 Posts user info edit post |
you really only need to do the side missions one time unless you like it. Only did that with my first character to get the steam achievement, but all the other toons I just bum rushed through the play through's. My gunzerker is only at lvl 22 and I'm already at the Warrior in a short time. 10/17/2012 10:48:57 AM |

I'm still on my first playthrough. The lost treasure mission from the Bonyard sends you to the Caustic Caverns where all of the threshers, spiderants, and explode-y crab things have leveled alongside you. 10/17/2012 11:00:33 AM |

^ definitely. I lost about 600k cash trying to beat the warrior and literally didn't have enough money to buy more ammo so I went to the DLC for 2-3 hours and earned it all back.

I soloed the Warrior the first time without dying once. He is 'weak' to corrosion and explosion. Use the Rakks, and Crystals giants to gain a second wind. You want a good SMG and shotty at the very least with said elemental effects. 10/19/2012 11:14:46 PM |

So I got Moxxi's Good Touch a while ago, after her Bad Touch. I realized you can drop/sell them and get them at a higher level, once you level.
So far, I've been able to get the Good Touch (fire), but not the Bad Touch.
Anyone else with this? 10/20/2012 6:03:03 PM |
aaronian All American 3299 Posts user info edit post |
I picked up the bad touch while on TVHM I believe. Wasn't able to prior to switching.
as for soloing the warrior - I don't know why I can't do it. I'm gunzerking him over and over and over then i get tailwhipped into the lava, or get killed and can't second wind cause nothing is around me. I have tried multiple weapon combos, dual ARs, SMGs, snipers, rocket launchers, shottys. I haven't tried pistols yet as I only have 1 that's worth a shit at level 50. 10/20/2012 6:13:43 PM |

Not sure about TVHM, but on the 1st play through I beat the warrior by running all the way to right ammo dump (right if you are facing where the Warrior appears from).
You can climb up onto the scaffolding over there (though you don't need to) and shoot essentially unscathed. 10/20/2012 7:52:12 PM |

JBaz All American 16764 Posts user info edit post |
I have a lvl 50 CC, never bothered with getting a lvl 50 infinity since I got the maggie/shottie pistol that rapes face. Infinity pistol is really only good for the mechromancer to pair it with her anarchy skill of what I've been told.
Really wish I could just get rid of my spare copies so I can just grab the season pass to play the DLC's, but I'll probably wait till it goes on sale. Really hate the idea of paying $$$ for the promise that the DLC's are going to be worth it, even though this first one sounds to be awesome. 10/21/2012 10:33:10 PM |

Seriously? Worried about running out of ammo? There's a reason why you have 4 weapon slots... Or the fact that there's ammo stations everywhere with mobs who drop ammo all the time, not to mention all the usual loot spots for ammo...
Or run with a gunzerker with the team ammo regen CM...
Or just melee everything... 10/22/2012 1:11:22 AM |

So I decided to continue on to the DLC without doing New Game Plus, and I've noticed that I'm super overpowered for all the quest lines. Everything's trivial for me at level 35. Although, I do like the new enemy types nothing's really causing the difficulty curve I experienced in the first ten levels of the game or in locations like Opportunity and Hero's Pass. 10/22/2012 10:02:34 AM |

How is it possible for Roland to be permanently killed by Jack? Shouldn't he respawn -- as a player character would -- at one of the New-U stations? For that matter, how can anyone die permanently unless they're poor?

In the beginning of the game they mention that you're able to use the New-U station because Angel has patched you in. However, the old vault hunters, since they are now enemies of Jack and know that he had no part in helping with the original opening, have had their DNA backup removed. Hence when Roland died he was just gone.
Similarly this posed the question: How come Jack doesn't just come back, since he's filthy rich? Which I would guess has to do with Angel removing his backup DNA unbeknownst to him when she was in the process of aiding the vault hunters to kill her.
end spoilerific section

But the net at my buddy's place... wow, plus we had a pair of 6k managed gigabit switches and a bunch of other cisco enterprise level network hardware and servers at our fingertips. Nice having some good paying sys admins in our clan.

If you guys are still playing this, I'm going to assume you already know of the ... tip I'm going to describe to level either your or the buddy you have tagging along quickly.
Get Tiny Tina's side quest about the Tea Party, and do everything up to luring Flesh-Stick to her crib.
Have one of your characters wipe out the area where Flesh-Stick spawns, and get to the area where he would spawn once the mission is accepted, zoomed in with rifle targeting the door where he spawns.
Have the other of your characters at Tiny Tina's, accept the mission, and Flesh-Stick will spawn.
Before he moves, you can pop-him in the head, killing him for anywhere between 6k and 666XP (depending on your level...both characters get XP, independent from the other).
You failed the mission, but it's okay, since you have one of your characters at Tina ready to rinse and repeat.
I did that with my main character and a spare character (that I have been using to make the game a little tougher and the drops a little better). My main went from 41 to 43. My spare went from 31 to 43.
I got a butt ton of loot (all sellable), ca$h, and anytime I ran out of sniper ammo, I just picked it up from the drops.
It was insane how easy it was. 11/11/2012 10:59:52 PM |

http://kotaku.com/5961091/become-the-number-one-badass-in-the-new-borderlands-2-dlc
Quote : | "What do you do when you visit the Badass Crater of Badassitude? You try to become the number one badass. Duh. The Badass Crater and your number one title await you in a new DLC campaign for Borderlands 2.
The world of Pandora is no stranger to zany characters, so it shouldn't be surprising that Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, the second DLC add-on for Borderlands 2, delivers on that front. The DLC sheds some light on weapons manufacturer figurehead Mr. Torgue. Torgue is, as you might expect, batshit insane. But it's a certain type of unhinged—think Randy Savage, who Mr. Torgue kind of looks and sounds like.
That's appropriate, because the DLC reminds me a ton of wrestling theatrics. You know how wrestlers are always trying to win the belt, or become number one? That's the deal here. There are a handful of bosses you have to defeat to become the number one badass. But it's not as simple as killing them, because Mr. Torgue meddles too much—he wants to make sure everything that happens makes for "good TV," so to speak. The (figurative) audience watching you has to feel titillated! Your ascent to badassitude has to be exciting! So don't be surprised if Mr. Torgue pulls antics like suddenly informing you you're about to get betrayed. Gotta put on a show." |
