^^^I'm sorry, but you're wrong. The replay assistant is not the one making the final determination on whether or not a play stands. The replay officials job is to help the on field referee determine what he can and cannot change, what is reviewable, etc. The determination of what the call should be is ultimately in the hands of the referee on the field.

So yes, while the replay assistant should have said that simultaneous catch is reviewable in the endzone it was the referee on the field who has the final call on whether there is enough evidence to overturn or whether to keep the ruling on the field.
