I think Asheville is a much better team than their record implies. Regardless, we should have won by considerably more than 2. We'll probably drop another few spots in the rankings (not that that really matters).

If Leslie and Zo don't get their heads out of their asses, the Michigan game isn't going to be pretty. Still possible if Warren and Purvis continue to play beyond their level of experience, Wood has a hot shooting night, and Howell stays in beast mode. But I'm very concerned at this point.

After watching the game tonight our post players need to be READY TO RECEIVE THE BALL. I don't know how many times I saw a pass hit Howell and Leslie in the hands and instead of catching it cleanly they would fumble it a little bit allowing their man to recover or tip the ball. It is like we are trying to play just a little too fast and getting ahead of ourselves.

We are just really soft right now

Howell cannot defend the post. He gives up position, and the offensive players know he can't stop them. There is also never a reason for him to dribble. Turnover every time. The last few minutes don't make up for a weak game.

Once again, our philosophy against screens is wrong. We just sag off and don't redirect the dribbler. Every other team in America hedges those screens. Priority one should be to stop the dribbler then stop the pass to the screener. We stop the pass to the screener and give up penetration for a layup or kick to an open shooter.

Our defense really doesn't make the other team uncomfortable. They just pass the ball at will and get to their spots. That's just bad defense.
