As I hinted at before, Redemption runs counter to the Hardcore nature of this specific thread. This contest is designed specifically to offer zero forgiveness. At this point the field has been eliminated and the competition is over. If you want to work among yourselves to keep going, I wish you luck.

Next year I'm going to tweak a couple rules, including trying to implement something that discourages this situation from happening. I'm always open to suggestions, so feel free to suggest.

All picks must be in by 1 pm Sunday unless picking thursday night game. That's my only real suggestion.

Yeah, the deadline for picks being in is one of the rules I'm going to tweak.

I'm thinking of changing it to: Picks must be time-stamped by the scheduled start time of the game. I don't think that would cause any issues.

It is mostly to avoid situations like what happened in the other competition. Get down to a few people left and everyone else seems to be on the same team in a 1 pm game. That team loses you say oh taking a bye this week, I win!

I guess that suggestion is more for all survivor type games. I have just always felt everyone should have the same deadline for picks every week. No byes in hardcore, but still can wait the last few people out and see how their picks do before making yours in the late games. Plus makes it easier on person keeping up with these things rather than having to figure out if someone snuck a pick in after a game had started.

I have had no trouble checking timestamps

and it really has never been a big problem

i think my game is gonna stay the same way next year
