I hate this team. Fucking offense is so bad that it I cannot even watch them play. There is talk of a management shake-up but honestly I don't blame Fredi even though he is pretty stupid and some of his in-game moves are preplexing. The injuries to the rotation should have kept the Braves as a sub-.500 team and somehow they are still in playoff contention.
Wren should be shown the door for doing stupid shit like getting Uggla and BJ and overseeing a farm system that is now virtually devoid of talent. The Braves have got to start going after players who don't strikeout 150 times a season and actually get on base at more than a .320 clip. 9/11/2014 5:09:42 PM |

what a shit sack of a season. Ernie's gif on the first page still rings true today. I'm surprised we lasted this long to be honest. took us until mid September to get under .500 with a starting rotation pieced together with spit and scotch tape and a lineup that can't manufacture any sort of run support. lock this shit up. 2015 braves thread here we come. 9/17/2014 9:33:52 AM |

This is the most putrid offense I have ever seen. It feels like we have scored 2 runs or less in like 75% of the games. Our best player (Kimbrel) sits on the bench for weeks at a time due to all these prolonged losing streaks. What a waste of season and we wasted a draft pick signing Santana
Should have just tanked and got a top-10 draft pick for next year to rebuild our awful farm system. 9/17/2014 10:26:33 AM |

So where would we make changes? Gattis, Freeman, Andrelton, JUp, Hayward have to be locked in, Gosselin has seemed to hit pretty well and Chris Johnson almost won a batting title last year. So.. It's all BJs fault? Obviously the pitching getting healthy would help 9/17/2014 12:13:24 PM |

The changes made the Braves need to make is a front line #1, better middle relief, new CF and 2B. Chris Johnson severely regressed this year and is horrible at defense. If we can upgrade there we should. Ultimately the everyday player core of the team is a bad combination. A bunch of low OBP guys that strikeout a ton and suck in the clutch. 9/17/2014 5:39:02 PM |

So with the loss tonight, the Braves fell to 4-12 in Sept (classic) and 8-50 in games that they scored 2 runs or fewer. Holy fuck 58 games where they scored 2 runs or less and they still have 1.5 weeks left. What a team! 9/19/2014 11:19:39 PM |

Braves are just shit terrible at manufacturing runs. The good teams can get a run or two every now and again just by shitting their way to it. The Braves have to hit a homer or get a big hit. No sacrificing, no walks, no steals, no moving the runner over. Its get a guy on and then everyone comes up swinging for the fences to get him in...which normally leads to 0 runs.
I'm also sick of Justin Upton coming up to bat with runners in scoring position only to see him swing at 3 straight balls in the dirt and walk back to the dugout shaking his head. 9/20/2014 8:35:11 AM |

Well that is the first good thing to happen all season in that Wren got the axe. 9 straight games with 3 runs or less. Nice team dickwad. Wonder who they will target as a replacement. Hell go after Billy Beane. 9/22/2014 8:57:24 PM |

what an epic choke job. How bad was 2011? Can someone remind me 9/24/2014 12:08:40 AM |

lost 18 of their final 26 games and gave up an 8.5-game lead in the NLWC standings with less than a month to play.
2011 was definitely a worse choke but this year's collapse, combined with terrible signings, is what really sealed it for Wren. ] 9/24/2014 9:30:24 AM |

tell me...who was the head coach in 2011? And who is the head coach in 2014?
^^ Quote : | "Entering the final month of the regular season with a record of 80–55 and an 8 1/2-game lead in the Wild Card standings, the Braves went 9–18 in September to finish the season with a record of 89–73. This September collapse caused the team to fall one game behind the St. Louis Cardinals in the Wild Card race after the final scheduled game of the season, which consequently eliminated them from postseason contention." |

I think we are on 9 straight games with 3 runs or less now. Absolutely pathetic. Clearly the team has quit which should alone be enough to fire fat Fredi. 9/24/2014 5:24:12 PM |

^^^ I think the move was made because LaStella, while solid, isn't going to be our guy. We have Jose Peraza coming up soon who has a lot more potential. Not sure about Vizcaino coming off of TJ surgery. Will have to see what happens with that to determine if this is a good trade.
^^Seems at first like an awful trade because Heyward is a face of our team, but he has underperformed offensively, and we would have to shell out big bucks to keep him as a free agent. Shelby Miller will hopefully be a nice addition to our rotation.

I'm not a Braves fan, and not slamming the trade either. Your points are valid. Just saying he'll be a nice fit in STL.
