Buddy skied at Kirkwood today. 41" in the past 48 hours. 18" in the last night. Glad they're finally getting some snow. Earlier in the season sucked in Cali. 3/30/2014 5:55:35 PM |

Do they even have enough staff still on hand to accommodate skiers? I thought all the staff left after April. 5/9/2014 9:50:25 AM |

Where'd you hear that? Most of the major resorts close at the end of April but Arapahoe Basin stays 100% open sometimes until July. Fully staffed.
You can still get a $179 unlimited spring skiing pass:

Seems like I'm the only one still enjoying the powder ITT. Here's my buddy yesterday in almost a foot of fresh powder:
It was awesome conditions. Full on powder day that felt like February. Hope we get a few more of these. Late season skiing is awesome because there's no tourists.

No resorts open near you? I think A Basin is the only resort that tries to stay open until July here. They're just so high up and people keep coming. 5/13/2014 12:13:09 AM |

That's pretty sweet. I wasn't aware of A Basin's schedule.5/13/2014 8:35:12 AM |

if I get this job I'm after and the timing works out, the thought has crossed my mind to do some southern hemisphere skiing this summer, like Chile or Argentina.
I'll have my daughter for most of the summer, so that could be tough to work around, and I don't know what the timing will be of start dates at the new job (and it's possible that I won't get hired, which is another set of problems), but I'm playing with the idea if it works out and I can find at least one other person to go. 5/15/2014 9:40:54 PM |

Yeah I think A Basin is close to 450" so far this season. They just announced they'll be open at least until June 22nd. Hoping to get a few more days in.6/2/2014 6:51:14 PM |
