I think you're wrong on this thing Astral...Her hitting him doesn't and will NEVER justify a man knocking his SOS or any woman unconcious. That's not defense...he is being offensive.
You're wrong and condoning domestic abuse.
You're saying a woman, no matter the circumstances, as soon as she throws a punch she should watch out because that's grounds to get her ass beat.
That's exactly what you're saying...OHHH YOU DONE IT NOW WOMAN.

I generally take a neutral stance on "victim blaming" (there's some truth to not walking through bad neighborhoods, etc), but don't hit, spit on, choke out a woman no matter what. not even if it's Ronda Rousey "provoking" you
that said, I find it quite laughable that she married him anyhow. if she did it for the $laftabucks, sucks to be her. 9/8/2014 3:03:24 PM |

Totally different situation.
TOTALLY.
That being said...that situation is STILL covered in the law. The law dropped the ball here, obviously, but still a different situation as defined by law. 9/8/2014 3:09:55 PM |

Gonna update this shit...I went back to 1990. Because I was bored at work and when I got going, it was kinda neat to go back through the old draft classes and stuff.
Quote : | "Starting with the 2012 draft (when Richardson was picked), I went all the way back to the 2000 draft. In those 13 draft classes, 39 running backs were drafted in the first round. Trent Richardson comes in at dead fucking last in yards per carry with a whopping 3.3 yards per tote (461 career carries).
Furthermore, of the 39 RBs selected in the 1st round, only 9 averaged less than 4.0 YPA.
Trent Richardson, 2012 (3.3 YPA, 461 carries) Jahvid Best, 2010 (3.7 YPA, 255 carries) Rashard Mendenhall, 2008 (3.9 YPA, 1081 carries) Cedric Benson, 2005 (3.8 YPA, 1600 carries) Cadillac Williams, 2005 (3.8 YPA, 1055 carries) Chris Perry, 2004 (3.4 YPA, 177 carries) William Green, 2002 (3.7 YPA, 568 carries) TJ Duckett, 2002 (3.9 YPA, 717 carries) Ron Dayne, 2000 (3.8 YPA, 983 carries)
It's certainly feasible that Richardson could pass Chris Perry this year, but it'd take a pretty significant jump for him to get past anybody else on this list...after Perry, the next closest is 3.7 YPA.
It's also interesting to note that Trent Richardson, through his first two seasons had 455 carries. Of the other 8 players that averaged less than 4.0 YPA, only Cadillac Williams had more carries in his first two seasons (515).
In conclusion, Trent Richardson is hot garbage.
Doing this, I stumbled over some names I hadn't seen in a really long time. Kevin Jones, Jahvid Best, Laurence Maroney....to name a few.
I may go back a few years further to see if anybody else can challenge Richardson." |
So now it looks like this:
Starting in 1990 and going all the way to 2012, there have been 71 RBs (and one guy listed as FB, who I went ahead and counted too, so call it 72) taken in the 1st round.
Of those 72, 26 have averaged less than 4.0 yards per attempt. Trent Richardson, 2012 (3.3 YPA, 461 carries) Jahvid Best, 2010 (3.7 YPA, 255 carries) Rashard Mendenhall, 2008 (3.9 YPA, 1081 carries) Cedric Benson, 2005 (3.8 YPA, 1600 carries) Cadillac Williams, 2005 (3.8 YPA, 1055 carries) Chris Perry, 2004 (3.4 YPA, 177 carries) William Green, 2002 (3.7 YPA, 568 carries) TJ Duckett, 2002 (3.9 YPA, 717 carries) Ron Dayne, 2000 (3.8 YPA, 983 carries) Curtis Enis, 1998 (3.3 YPA) Robert Edwards, 1998 (3.9 YPA) John Avery, 1998 (3.5 YPA) Antowain Smith, 1997 (3.9 YPA) Lawrence Phillips, 1996 (3.4 YPA) Eddie George, 1996 (3.6 YPA) Ki-Jana Carter, 1995 (3.6 YPA) Tyrone Wheatley, 1995 (3.9 YPA) Rashaan Salaam, 1995 (3.6 YPA) Jerome Bettis, 1993 (3.9 YPA) Tommy Vardell, 1992 (3.5 YPA) Tony Smith, 1992 (3.8 YPA) [interesting enough, Tony Smith is the only person by the name "Tony Smith" to ever play in the NFL] Vaughn Dunbar, 1992 (3.5 YPA) Leonard Russell, 1991 (3.4 YPA) Harvey Williams, 1991 (3.9 YPA) Darrell Thompson, 1990 (3.5 YPA) Rodney Hampton, 1990 (3.8 YPA)
So 1998 draftee Curtis Enis, out of Penn State, is the only other player to average 3.3 YPA as a 1st round draft pick. He lasted 3 years in the league (36 total games) and had 456 career carries. Compared to Trent Richardson's 461 career carries so far. Another interesting note on Enis. In 1998 and 1999 he is listed as RB. In 2000 he is listed as FB. He was picked 5th overall by the Bears (comparable to Richardson going 3rd). Judging by his wiki page injuries really curtailed his career. After just 1 NFL start he tore a ligament in his knee.
I would love to find a sortable list of every NFL RB ever (who has more than, say, 200 carries) and sort by YPA to find the absolute worst.9/8/2014 3:53:22 PM |
