You don't have right to judge a billionaire if he's a dumb or not unless you are a billionaire too.

To his point though, he didn't think he was talking about human beings either...

http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2014-05-11/don-jones-suspended-dolphins-tweet-michael-sam-gay-football-player-nfl-draft-apology-reaction

admittedly i didnt read too deeply into this, and it might not be the best place to post it, but is this getting a little ridiculous?

the tweet said 'horrible' and that could have been referencing michael sam's abilities since lots of folks are saying hes a mediocre athlete at best.

tl;dr

the gays are kicking ass / taking names in pro sports no?

His comment is definitely ambiguous, but as a franchise/company, I think any team wants to on the ball about these things rather than get tied up in a controversy. As a player -- that's effectively a brand unto himself -- I think it'd be a good idea for any pro to watch his words.

Not going to lie. Hearing Anderson Cooper utter "Full blown AIDS" was the highlight of my evening yesterday.

Not that I like to remorse over the lives of millionaires, I do have some empathy for what Magic is going through in this situation. He is basically being pulled into this scandal between Sterling and his frau as if it is some sort of love triangle. Can't be good publicity for Magic considering that he has not allegedly done anything to contribute to the events that led up to Sterling's rants other than to take a photo with somebody.

Because Sterling mentioned Magic on that tape where he's berating his mistress for hanging out with black guys.

When Justin Timberlake was accepting an award at the billboard awards last night, he basically said "thank you to everybody in the world...Except Donald Sterling."

If I were Sterling and heard that I'd be feeling pretty low right now.

Donald Sterling has no idea who Justin Timberlake is. He doesn't listen to black music.

Quote :
""I know I'm prejudiced, and I know I'm bigoted in a lot of different ways," Cuban said..

"If I see a black kid in a hoodie on my side of the street, I'll move to the other side of the street. If I see a white guy with a shaved head and tattoos (on the side he now is on), I'll move back to the other side of the street. None of us have pure thoughts; we all live in glass houses."

When asked about voting on Sterling's ouster, which he will have to do June 3, Cuban said he knows how he will vote but isn't ready to comment on it. He then was asked about keeping bigotry out of the NBA.

"You don't; there's no law against stupid," Cuban said. "I'm the one guy who says don't force the stupid people to be quiet. I want to know who the morons are.""

So what I find interesting here, while leaving whether the NBA or Sterling are right or wrong on multiple issues, out of the equation... Ishow these types of disputes are settled in America. So more often than not a large oorganization, whether right or wrongly, is able to get their way in a dispute against an individual by taking legal action. In most cases, the large organization has a team of attorneys that completely outspend and overpower the individual. But in this case, Sterling is extremely rich as well, and is capable of drawing out the process.

I just think its interesting because usually, the individual has no real hope of fighting back. For example, think if the cable company wanted to pursue you over charges they say you owed, but you ddidn't really owe. By the time you even got to court to fight your case , your credit would probably be all fucked up...
