I lost my mind on that last play (YES! YES! NO! YES!) and subsequently freaked out and almost injured myself jumping around with the railing/seats/steps as hazards. Tommy threw with huge cajones (especially for a freshman) in those last few innings. Still can't believe that Miami didn't bunt David Thompson over to 3rd with no outs but I'm glad they didn't.

Absolutely not. Throw Brad Stone or Evan Mendoza or whoever and let them give up 10 runs in the first inning and go home. We're in NCAAs now as either a #2 or #3 and the difference between the two seeds hardly matters in a regional.

Pulling for FSU over Louisville today, but either one will be tough. Just hope that whoever wins has to wear out a ton of pitching.

Forgot 10 run rule required a minimum 7 inning game, but I'd still pitch Mendoza, Brabrand, and Stone (if he's still around) for as long as they're physically able. Piedmonte, O'Donnell and Williamson are the only other guys who haven't pitched this week and it'd be ideal to have at least the first two completely fresh to go along with Britt and Orwig. Have to imagine Brown, Wilder, Gilbert, Olczak and DeJuneas are more or less done (maybe one or two would be good for an inning or so).

BTW wolfdawg4, think I saw you on my way to/from bathroom during extra innings but was in too big of a hurry to get back to the game to say hey.

I think Stone picked up an injury during the season and tried to comeback towards the end of the season, but just didn't have it and got pulled rather quickly.

After the game, Avent said Knizner won't be catching today to give him some rest.

Nothing official that I've seen, but speculation is Williamson tonight and Piedmonte tomorrow, which make sense since he's the one that brought us the good luck via the leaning tower of rally caps in the 9th and 12th last night.

^^ Typically not a huge fan of Haynes on baseball broadcasts, but that call is spectacular. Like how he mentioned a couple things that had me worried (Preston being 0-4 and going lefty on lefty) going into that at bat. One thing I had noticed was in the 11th inning, Preston seemed really focused on getting ready to bat if needed, almost like he knew what was coming.
