Kate should be a lesson for future directors on how not to cast. I'm sorry, this is spoiler territory but if you don't see it off the bat then you should stop watching movies.

You don't hire Woody Harrelson in a supporting role and not have him stab you in the back. The minute I saw Woody I knew that was going to happen. Maybe I just saw Solo and that's why I thought this. Still an entertaining action flick.

The good thing is the way you worded that I can't tell if he does or doesn't stab her in the back. When I saw the trailer I thought he would, but maybe that's more bc he was an actor I know JUST in an advisory role, rather then being Woody. Plus in movie like that the handler is always has some complicity, if not active betrayal

Anybody else seen this ^ and have opinions? I enjoyed the Haunting of Hill House, but I only made it through a few episodes of The Haunting of Bly Manor before I decided the boredom wasn't worth slogging through the rest.

I'm on episode 4. I've found that I really like Flannigan's work.

If you didn't like Bly Manor though, the pace of Midnight Mass will not be for you. It's a slow burn, kind of a deep religious dive into horror.

Bly and Hill House are a good bit different than Midnight Mass, but they are both very enjoyable in their own right. You can tell they're by the same show-runner, but man, Hill House gave me probably more scares from a show/movie in my adult like than I have ever had.

There is one episode in the Hill House series - Two Storms - that seems like a mastercraft in cinematography. There's a 20 minute long take that appears as if one long cut - I actually think it was two cuts spliced together, but still, that scene, with 10 minute cuts is amazing.

We're about 5 episodes into Midnight Mass. It's a bit slow, but we've enjoyed it, and it seems to be picking-up and getting creepier.

And the main guy plays a very similar character to his Matt Saracen in Friday Night Lights, but i like him more in this.

I have really enjoyed it (so far), but every scene with the Americans took me out of it. The dialogue and acting was cringy. Imagine if the VIPs didn't say a thing but just sat around watching the game with those creepy ass masks.

"duff" should be "different". I guess I was bored so i noticed she changed her hair every scene. Probably not an endorsement for the movie. The climax scenes are mostly a guy listening to a safe.

i enjoyed Midnight Mass. I think it needed to be one episode shorter to tighten up the reveal. It was almost too drawn out and over explained.

the very first game was perhaps the most shocking i think, as it was just wholesale massacre and it took them and us by surprise.
