We've gotten up on teams (ie 10-0 VT, 17-7 today) and out offense has just stagnated the rest of the game, the play calling has sucked and been predictable. Canada becomes so vanilla it's ridiculous. Qb draws, swing passes to rb, I mean really dude I know Samuels is our best player but every now and again use him as bait to set up a couple of other things.

I give props to the defense for getting good pressure and forcing lots of turnovers. Our offense was pathetic. Jacoby seemed to get worse as the game went on to the point of constantly missing people at the end. I am ready to start seeing McClendon play a two or three series a game to get him ready for next year.

The times I saw McLendon this year in garbage time he didn't look too good, albeit that was a small sample size. He has a strong arm, but he threw some ugly non-spiral passes. I was kind of confused because the coaches said he had the same skillset as Jacoby, but perhaps he still have some maturating to do.

I don't know if he's necessarily getting worse...he's just inconsistent in general. Even last year, we were at our best when he wasn't being asked to pass much. The UNC game he only attempted 12 passes. He looked pretty solid against BC...hit some nice deep balls. I just think at this point he's kinda clearly just an ok QB who struggles with accuracy

he needs to throw more picks (seriously). good qbs throw picks. when we're around midfield, i'd rather see him throw a deep pick then sit there and run back for a 10 yard sack. once we take a sack on 2nd down theres pretty much no hope so we might as well have thrown a pick anyway.

^i agree. he doesn't take chances. which is why he has such low INT numbers in his two seasons...which looks good on paper. but sometimes it's ok to take a chance downfield and get picked off, because the next time it could go for a TD. also, because he is sometimes unwilling to take chances downfield, he may get careless with the ball in the pocket and fumble while avoiding a sack (thinking specifically of the FSU game last year). i'm not saying he needs to become harrison beck and grip it and rip it every time, but having a bit of the gunslinger mentality might help him imo
