Yep, seen this show before. Duke sucks, we caught them At their lowest, they caught us at our best.

The gott show will be back to normal when the next team isn't missing an unusual amount of open shots. We Even tried as much as possible to give the game away at the end but failed.

I mean, they missed open 3's, we missed a ton of lay-ups and FTs.

It happens. Duke relies on the 3, when it has an off night, they're very vulnerable, they just don't have a ton of off nights.

That being said...this Duke team isn't nearly as good as most expected.

That definitely wasn't our best. Maybe our luckiest, but not our best. Smith missed a ton of FT's and a few gimmes at the rim. Henderson and Dorn were basically no shows, and Mav didn't score until the 2nd half.

The good things to take away are that:

-We finally won a road game and didn't look like shit
-Smith is finally playing like the best player on the court. (He always was, just didn't always play like it)
-Gott finally benched Anya in place of Kapita, who's 10x better at everything besides swatting shots. PLEASE STAY WITH THIS.
-We went back to our small lineup when they put Tatum at PF, and we outscored them 20-5. PLEASE STAY WITH THIS.

cmon team... we have all been around here long enough to know that this is the kind of game that we typically win.

We suck shit hard for a few weeks, then up pops @Duke, with K out of commission. This is the game we pull a wtf win out of every 2-3 years. Usually it is at home against Duke/UNC, but this year it worked out this way bc of us losing to BC GT WF in rapid fire along with the back surgery thing.

Think about it, had we lost... this season would have absolutely no hope of anything going forward. That is not how God/the gods/the twisted man up in the sky rolls with us NC State people. Now, we have a little glimmer... a hope of this super talented team getting it all together and maybe just maybe eeking out 20 wins/the right to sweat on selection sunday... Now we have something which can be built upon a bit. Maybe 1-2 more wins against some good teams and wins against the teams we are supposed to beat going forward. We can get a little swagger, then have it all ripped the fuck away from us on a blown call in the ACCT Semis or some similar moment.

Losing to Duke last night wouldnt have really hurt, it would have been expected. Beating them and maybe rolling with it for a week or 2 allows us to hope/dream, and opens the door for us to end this season like we end 90% of our seasons

Sorry, man. I wrote this team off after the GT game and have tuned out completely. I probably wouldn't have known we won had it not been for the UNC fan at work that I always jaw at. Maybe this team will surprise us, but I feel like I've seen this movie before. Happy we won, but still don't give a shit about the rest of the season

Frankly, I find it quite shocking to see a university try and profit off of student-athletes. What will come next, paying multiple assistant football coaches over a million dollars a year? Multi-billion dollar television deals? Conference re-alignment alienating traditional rivalries and logical travel? Websites where people make a living writing articles about universities making money from shirts while they themselves are making money from the article they wrote about the university's shirts? When will it stop?

Gott was trying to talk to terry Henderson during the game yesterday after he committed a turnover. He kept on walking right past Gott without making eye contact and Gott was just looking st the back of his head as he sat down.
