ok, this is fucking hilarious.
Don't you like how the 8.6% at the end is higher than 8.8%
Fox News logic
8.8 < 8.6 if it looks bad for Obama
In fact, 8.6 is kind of close to 9.0. But can we really blame the chartmaker? I mean, what do you want him to do, use a computer to plot data or something? 12/13/2011 1:33:47 AM |

i guess if you are retarded enough not to notice that and read the actual numbers and look past the programmatic error, then you were probably dumb enough to think the lines going down was bad in the first place
Oh cool i got a graphic that MSNBC utterly refuses to ever put on their website:

LMAO yeah Fox News just happened to mess up on a single data point, coincidentally affecting the chart in a way that downplays any possible good news for the Obama admin. Total coincidence, unrelated from the thousands of even more egregious distortions if not entirely counterfactual things they throw up.
BTW MSNBC has mentioned the U5 and U6 rates, mostly in commentary, and the BLS publishes those regularly. Fox mentions it about as often too. Most officials and the media use the U3 because the data its derived from is very reliable (compared to, say, estimating the number of discouraged workers from polling data) and comes out monthly.

yes, there is conservative spin on that network
but it balances out to the 1000000 programs with liberal spin
MSNBC is the fucking WORST, ed schultz can die in a fire, so can the execs at that "news" network that allow that drivel on the air
I really wish there could be a news source that was 100% free of spin...doesn't anyone care about presenting the actual facts? 12/13/2011 2:00:27 PM |

2 key points here from MSNBC gentlemen.
#1) The recession ended in 2009 and we are experiencing phenomenal market growth thanks to president obama.
#2) And the economy is adding hundreds of thousands of jobs every month. LOL

#1) The recession did end 2009. I know you don't know much about these things, but in economics "recession" actually has a specific meaning, not just "times are sucky." Yes, times are still sucky, but the recession did indeed end in 2009.
#2) Actually, yes, the economy is adding hundreds of thousands of jobs, there's just a little bit of a hole to dig ourselves out of

Nope, I'm not saying that. I would say that:
A) The stimulus package stopped the free fall and put us into the (relatively better) state of stagnation we're in now.
B) It was not big enough for a full recovery and everybody on the left was saying this long before it actually passed. The package was equal to less than half of the GDP lost in 2009 alone, anybody who expected it to work, and anybody who thought it was a full-hearted attempt at Keynesianism, didn't look at the numbers.
C) We are not recession proof at all because most of the deregulation that allowed the finance sector to bubble and burst like that have yet to be reversed.

George W. Bush dropped a tv set from the top of a 50 story building, and left office right around the time it was at the 20th floor. Obama took office, ran to the bottom of the building, and started carrying the TV up. Now, conservatives are waiting for him at the 15th floor saying "The TV's even lower than when you took office! Also some of the channels don't work any more!" 12/13/2011 2:48:53 PM |

Quote : | "my god. yep bush forced the banks to give those trillions in toxic loans to people who couldn't afford a fucking mcdonalds sandwich. " |
Nobody forced the banks to give the loans. In fact, the CRA-affected loans not only made up a minority of the toxic ones, but were in fact among the safest ones. It was the fact that banks could bundle these loans into deceptive securities and resell them without regulatory oversight, so there was no incentive to make loans that people could be expected to pay back. And, for the record, it wasn't just poor people, there were plenty of middle and upper class households with a mortgage way beyond their means that contributed.
I mean, you're literally spouting a recession narrative that ONLY the mainstream right wingers (Limbaugh, Beck, Bloomberg) believe in anymore. You're a master of projection, that's for sure.

Lol every time. Cry and scream about Obama ruining everything until someone mentions the majority of the damage was done under Bush, then switch gears and crow about how the executive can't be blamed for anything.
