I wish the AHL would wise up and realize that more people would watch their games if they would just stream them for free online...at least for the playoffs. I find it hard to believe that more than a couple hundred people across the country paid $10 per fucking game to watch the AHL online.

Maybe worth a couple hundred (at most) to some middle-aged woman, but the team is so accessible you're not talking about rare autographs.

A game-used stick has much more value than a $5 twig with a Canes paintjob, too.

i think the only time you're going to get like $200 is in a charity auction type setting. there's so much market saturation of those sticks... honestly, i'd keep the damn thing and put it on your wall. it's cool to have.

now, if skinner wins the calder and goes on to be an extremely successful player in the NHL... you can probably catch some coin for it then, since it was from his rookie year.

other than that, the team did nothing significant this year. if its a stick from 05-06, people would shell money out for sure.

Drove out to Charlotte for the game, and was worried they were gonna blow it, as my history of driving a ways to see my favorite teams never bears any fruit (I'm looking at you, 49ers and NC State basketball). WB/S is a really strong defensive team. So many broken up shots.

Hopefully they keep going strong...going to the Calder Cup in the first season here would be great.
