forgot to state that NC State played against Maryland earlier today and went to 4-1 with a win. Glennon had a couple of bombs to Bowens and held on for a 21-16 win.

Eugene returned from an injury and had a steady game, getting injured briefly again but returning to the game.

State prepares this week for Clemson in hopes of pulling an upset and shaking up the division.

UNC beats Virginia Tech 27-10. It was tied 10-10 at halftime but some turnovers in the 2nd half by VT kinda spread the score

I don't know the official rules about penalties on the offense versus time running off versus the end of the game. Seems like you should have moved back 10 yards and tried again but I don't know for sure.

Good game. That got close at the end.

To clear things up, I went for it on your 40 yd-line, 4th and 1, early in the third quarter. And considering the final score (31-23, with you having a chance at an onside kick at the end of the game), it was definitely the right thing to do.

After starting the season 0-3, I've moved to 2-3 overall and 2-2 in the ACC. Wins against (I think) then No. 9 Clemson and No. 7 FSU.

at the time it was the wrong play in terms of fairplay, the outcome of the game is irrelevent. its not like a kick to the sideline isn't possible in this game.

the thing that pisses me off about this is that we had to play this game at all.

is there no way to play best 2 out of 3 this week?

i don't see how him going for it on your 40 yd line is that big of a deal??? With him up 28-0, it would allow him to run more time off the clock. It was 4th and 1.......not 4th and 8 where he used some crap play to beat you on it. Lots of teams go for it on 4th and short inside the other teams 40 yd line b/c if you punt it in the endzone, you're only gaining 20 yds

In that situation, I would've probably punted since it was a 4 score game. But 4th and 1 on the opponent's 40 and facing a top 10 team where you're clearly overmatched, I could definitely see going for it. Especially since the connection was apparently laggy and kicking is a bitch with lag much less trying to angle it out of bounds.

nah, my connection was fine all game. on the last kickoff, its just the game lagged up a bit and accepted my "a" press to get past the drive summary as the center kickoff.

i've been in games where people abuse the 5 minute game. you could easily just be ahead at halftime and very nearly run the game out.

NC State survives a shootout with Maryland 42-38.

Glennon throws 4 interceptions but Bowens has a huge day breaking the NC State single game record for yardage at 257 yards. Eugene was steady on the ground and NC State battled back from a 31-14 halftime deficit to win late.

On a non game related note, the interceptions on Heisman are ridiculous. Each team had 4 picks resulting in the ugliest offensive game I have ever been involved in. Surprised to get out of this one with a win.
