We could not buy a penalty tonight but we had to expect that based on the "diving" accusations that florida whines about every time we play. Samsonov set up Cole twice at the doorstep and Cole could not put the puck in the net tonight. It sucks to give up one point to florida but great to gain another. Lets hope the attendance is great at the Tuesday game because winning that game could virtually lock us in as Southeast Champs.

Is Tampa really south Florida? I'd consider it mid-Florida. They sure are being cocky for a team that hasn't been to the post season since last decade

From my experience so far, I have gotten the impression that they are like Buffalo with the sense of entitlement, except they have far less reason to be that way. If you ask a Florida fan, they will tell you that THEY ARE GOING TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS. It is just a matter of time, despite the standings saying otherwise.

Tampa is mid-Florida, like even with Orlando. I guess Florida is implying that they are hotter than the Dolphins, Marlins, and Heat. Three teams that are just about on par with Florida this year in terms of shittyness

if ATL steps it up tonight and we win on Tuesday, then we are an OTL away from clinching

I don't see ATL stepping it up tonight. If I were Waddell, I'd just sit everyone and go for that nice draft pick. Then sell the team to investors in Winnipeg.

if by "big comeback" you mean "atlanta laying over and dying while Lehtonen loses his cool" then yes, I did watch that. Then flipped it to the Toronto/Buffalo game and felt better inside.

gg Ovechkin though for his goalenating. Here's to the SE actually getting two teams in, one being Carolina, obv.

Considering brownie27 only references Tampa in his post I don't understand how, in reading that sentence, he could've meant the Panthers.

I guess his point is close enough (they last made the playoffs in 1999-2000), but the wording was real poor.

He referenced it saying it was two south florida teams, and that the hype of the poster, a Panthers org produced piece, was cocky.

I am glad that you all debated my post on the team from Tampa. And then the team from just north of Miami. I should have made it a little more clear. Tampa IMO is in the middle of Florida. Even if USF is in Tampa. Moreover, isn't the Panther media a little cocky for not being in the post season since 99-00? I hope this clears things up a touch.

Go Canes! I love Joe Corvo! Go Pack! I hate Tyler Hanesbrough

Not even a fight... Just Roy directing his kid to assault a guy who had no intention or desire to fight. Then flipping off the crowd... how nice.

THUG.

Down 7-1 in a playoff game. Send a message. Stand up for your teammates.

There's no doubt in my mind that Nadeau was chirping from the other end, but also counting on the linesman keeping Roy on his side of the red line. Granted, he should've let him go when he turtled, but that's a separate matter.
