when there is a baby, sure it is! but until then it's just a pain in the ass

anyway, i haven't measured myself in two weeks. kind of slipped up on that after being out of town two weekends in a row. come monday i'm gonna do that again. i'm also trying not to weigh myself...i'm afraid i'll only be disappointed even though i KNOW weight isn't the best indicator of improvement. yada yada yada

All you guys are doing great! Good job with this thread God

Ill post pics, but I'm down to 169 from 186 when I initially posted my pics. I feel good, but could stand to do a little more weight lifting.

Seems disproportianate

If I lost 45 pounds I'd lose like 6 inches on my waist

I"m in the middle of buying new dress shirts, shirts and pants, as my legs, ass, shoulders, and neck don't fit my old stuff.

I always have trouble finding shirts that fit my neck. Fortunately I wear a tie like once a year, so I only have to keep one or two shirts that can squeeze around my neck.

I have the hardest time getting polo shirts (golf shirts, etc) to fit me properly. On size L the sleeves are too short but the torso area fits well. On size XL the sleeves are the right length but the torso is way too big.

WTF, why do all these companies design shirts that fit overweight ppl? Not my fault they're fat.

Same problem for short people that are in shape. I have had to alter every pair of dress pants I've bought in the last 5 years. Apparently all short men are suppose to be overweight.

I sometimes have a tough time with shirts as well because my upper body is a little big. So Small shirts are good in length, but make every shirt look like a muscle shirt. Mediums and Larges fit the upper body, but the length falls down to my knees.

Mediums work most of the time, but I still have problems with some shirts.

I have a thick neck/broad shoulders while being short and I run in to the same problem. I can't buy non-fitted dress shirts from stores. They are always way too tight at the neck with sleeves too long.

And even casual button-downs really never fit me. If they are comfortable around my neck/shoulders then they are way too loose at the midsection and too long...

And I imagine as I continue to work out more it will get even worse

I've just gone with size L shirts. The overall better fit outweighs the short sleeves in my opinion.

Plus everyone goes all instead of you having to worry about your shirt-dress looking proper all day.

My chest and neck are a tad too big for small button-downs, but they fit me perfectly every other way.

So I just say "fuck it" and just wear them. I'd rather my shoulders look right than be able to get that top button anyway.

Spent the last 5 days in San Diego. Boozed it up, only went running twice, and ate whatever I felt like. Gained some weight back, but I had a blast and I'm back on the ball today.

that's the one thing I don't miss from wrestling. With all the bridge work we did, my neck was 21" at a weight of 205. Even now, my neck is around 19.5", but that makes a world of difference when shopping for clothes.

Jeez my neck is 16.5" and i think that's big. I have trouble buying shirts/pants. I'm 5'8" 180 pounds and shirts that typically fit are too small in the arms. Dress shirts are the worst. It's like 99% of the dress shirts out there are made for men with beer bellies. They're always way too big around my torso.

Depends on where you go. Brooks Brothers has a good slim fit line, and the European shirts are slimmer fitting than ones you'll find from shirt makers here. Jos. A Bank shirts aren't very good for slim fit, from what I've seen.

categorically, the designers who create the patterns for jos a banks make clothes for fat people.

Jos A Bank sucks ballsacks. Everything there is made for people who either have an 8 foot wingspan or are morbidly obese. Its the reason they have to have so many sales just to get rid of stock.

Yeah it's kind of funny. I found some Calvin Klein slim-fit shirts at Macy's that fit great, but they aren't wrinkle free. I want European/Slim-fit wrinkle free business shirts!!!

Yeah banker shirts (blue/white) seem to always be geared toward fat people, although I work on a trading floor and there's not a single obese person on the floor. Everyone does marathons/triatholons. It's when they get older that they get the beer guts i guess. Come to think of it though not many of thier shirts are fitted.

Plus my thighs are big from biking. I wear like a 32/30 and they're always tight around the crotch/thigh area. I need to get a tailor.

i pretty much wear brooks brothers slim-fit non-iron shirts exclusively. they're not the most high end shirt ever, but they're about $85-90, last a while (1 yr+) and seem to be fairly fitted. definitely not as billowy as jos a banks. that goes for all of their shirts of that type.

i wash/tumble dry the polo button down collar ones, but dry clean/press the point collar ones. they stay relatively crisp in the dryer, but not as crisp as if pressed at the cleaners
