I didn't know screen setting role players in the Aussie league made Porsche money.

I'm 6'4" and having owned a 996, I can't imagine how CJ could fit into a Porsche.

Press conference will be held at Bojangles so they can announce his endorsement deal and they can officially add the menu item "the CJ Leslie" biscuit. Each one you buy comes with about 6 Turnovers (Apple) for free.

I seriously doubt he's staying, despite his off year.

We will be bad next year, even if he stays.

I hope he ends up in Germany because my company has a position opening there next year and I'd be able to catch his games.

but yeah, we'll be a better team without him next year.

i wish him luck. i think he tried here he just didn't get it. He did come back for his sophomore and junior years to try to make the right decision. I'm not sure coming back for another year would be wise, he's foregoing one of his prime moneymaking years and this is as weak a draft as any.

I wonder if there is any regret here with all the recent draft declarations...and even more to come.

If say McGary declares, Leslie is really going to lose ground.

whats hilarious is that all this talk about this year being a weak draft and next year being loaded has tons of guys going early and this year may be as competitive (albeit not as top heavy) to actually get drafted in the first round as any.

true, but it's the difference between getting drafted this year and not getting drafted at all next year

^ this

And that is also why I still think TJ Warren basically is signed on through his junior year after his decision to return, which is fantastic.

^ I would agree, but you rarely see guys flirt with the draft for more than one year. Once they get it in their heads that they're ready...they almost never make it the additional year. That's why I'd be surprised to see Macadoo stay...except for the fact that he was so shitty this year he's almost played himself out of the first round (and his family is loaded so there's no rush).

If Warren makes 1st team All ACC next year then he's a first round pick and he's gone.

The difference in getting drafted vs not drafted next year wont mean anything long term as far as making a team, but it could mean something as far as immediate money.

which is pretty much the point

better to be drafted than undrafted

^^Yes, that is my point. With the rush of all these college players to this draft because it will likely be historically weak when it comes to producing NBA starters, it may actually be harder to get into the first round this year or possibly even drafted period.

Next year will be more top heavy, sure, but since everyone with even half a chance of getting drafted is going this year, it may actually be easier to get drafted late next year. That's the funny part, IMO.
