Sorenson is from Minnesota...he's usually fairly non-biased when it comes to triangle schools...he probably just mentioned State because our recent basketball woes are relevant to most of his reader base

look, I've read the Charlotte Observer (print or online) for mad years, as well as hearing Sorenson numerous times as co-hosts on Packman's show, as well as talking to him downstairs at the Observer while hitting up their ATM...he is a smart ass...but he's not on some "OMG ANTI NCSU MEDIA CONSPIRACY" shit...honestly he's probably trying to pull some "yeah you're doing a great job, i really appreciate it...but theres one thing you need to improve"...he's basically just taking a legitimate jab at our bball program as a way to preemptively take out perceived "anti-UNC" bias by UNC fans
