^ I really like watching Bundesliga matches, they are easily second to EPL IMO. I'm not a fan of La Liga or Serie A because unless you are watching the 2 big clubs in each league, the stadiums are half full and the games essentially have no meaning to the season. I have watched few EPL games where the stands weren't completely packed and the crowd chanting, even if it's two teams at the bottom of the table. Hell I'd rather watch Championship than Serie A.

I follow three (four maybe) leagues pretty closely, but I only really talk about the EPL and UCL here, because no one else here really cares about La Liga or the SPL.

Quote :
"LONDON -- Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says 41-year-old goalkeeper Jens Lehmann will come out of retirement and rejoin the club.

Wenger says the former Germany international, who left Arsenal in the summer of 2008 after a five-year spell with the Premier League club, will sign a deal until the end of the season.

Lehmann is currently training with the Gunners and hopes to solve the team's goalkeeping crisis, with Wojciech Szczesny, Lukasz Fabianski and Vito Mannone all out injured.

Lehmann, who retired last year after his contract expired at Bundesliga side Stuttgart, will back up Manuel Almunia."

Awsome Lehmann is back!! hopefully we can see more of his crazy antics

Harry must hate Kranky. He's been good for the winner a few times this year and still can't get a look.

This is beginning to verge on nervous time.

[Edited on March 19, 2011 at 10:37 AM. Reason : I'm sick of Defoe blowing chances. Our lack of one decent striker is this team's downfall.]

Evans with the red... stupid tackle on Holden. I hope he's okay

so what's the point of a touchline ban? if you're on the phone doing the same thing coaches always do

Wow that was a stupid mistake. Are we really surprised though? I'm happy Arsenal at least got a point out of it, that game was a disaster.

Didn't get a chance to watch much today other than the first 1/2 of Spurs v WHU. Really good first half, back and forth. On a side note, saw that Bale signed a contract extension for 4.5 years to stay at Spurs through 2015.

Hope Stu Holden is ok too. That's going to hurt the US in a couple weeks...

hmmm

at the risk of drawing the ire of the ABU crowd and all the US homers

I'll just say that that seemed like a 50-50 ball. Both players went for it. It's unfortunate that Holden got injured, but I don't think it was a red card. It was all a matter of a half second and Jonnier Drogba got to ground first. had Holden got down first I think Evans would've been the player to go off with a split knee. I don't think there was any ill intent from either player.

It was a 50/50 ball but Evans dove in straight with studs up, that's a red. I don't think it was malicious, I just think Evans made an error in judgment

They said he'll have surgery. Don't really know what for. Probably for the best though. There's nothing going on this summer so he won't have any pressure to come back before he's ready.

Did you see that ludicrous display last night?

What was Wenger doing sending Walcott on that early?

The thing about Arsenal is they always try'n walk it in.

^^ Fuck the Gold Cup. Besides, Holden is a good player but I don't think he really has the ability to transform the way the USA plays considerably more than other players.

^ WTF are you talking about? Arsenal played on Saturday and Walcott didn't play at all.
