They haven't even closed the case yet in the Adkins shooting, that's the main reason you don't see any outrage about this yet.

By the time the Trayvon case hit national news not only had the police closed the case, they held a press conference to assert Zimmerman would never be charged, after performing a pretty halfassed investigation. This is pretty much what started the outrage in the Trayvon case.

Considering the investigation is still pending in th Adkins case, it wouldn't make sense for people to start protesting. The justice system appears to be still working.

But of course for tacolu and Laser Soup, it's all about race they'll use whatever reason, however flimsy, to attack the "black community".

Between this and Zimmerman...one might start to think that by carrying a concealed weapon, you are more prone to think that others are armed as well; and more prone to imagine "dangerous" situations where they do not actually exist.

To be fair though, American society has a pretty screwed up vocabulary to describe race.

African American pretty much always means black in the US. Even if this isn't accurate it's the cultural norm. I can see how someone not from here might get confused.

No. They should make it very clear that you are only allowed to shoot to stop the attack. You do not shoot to injure or shoot to kill...You shoot to stop the attack. Injuries and deaths are a byproduct of stopping the attack.

^From my experience South Americans don't like Mexicans. I've heard it from Peruvians and Colombians. They don't even consider Mexican Spanish to be proper, it's dirty and bastardized. So I'm not really surprised by that.
