Yeah, same here, but I think it just has a lot to do with their poor showing against the Colts. The Bucs have several starters out due to injury. Either way though it is low, but I still like it. 9/14/2007 11:31:30 PM |

smaller teasers in the NFL are ok because of the parity and the fact that the lines are typically dead on or close to it, but in college its not worth it to buy the points because the lines are all over the place. Getting extra points you might not even need isnt worth it when you have to win EVERY game.
Quote : | "An NFL teaser is commonly a two team parlay where your chosen team gets six extra points added in your favor to its spread. So if Dallas was +2 and Pittsburgh was -7.5, your teaser wager would be a parlay on Dallas +8 and Pittsburgh -1.5. If you are betting at -110 (betting $110 to win $100), you need to win at least 52.4% of your teasers to break even. This is the same win percentage needed for to break even on normal sides bets when you lay -110 at a traditional sports book.
Since both of your selections need to win so that you can cash your ticket, each individual teaser team needs to cover 72.5% for you to break even (72.5% X 72.5% = 52.6%). So in exchange for those six extra points in your favor, when you buy a teaser you are raising your breakeven point from 52.4% to 72.5% on that one team. If you don't win that individual leg at least 20% more with those six points, don't bother teasing - you are buying something you don't need." |
dont get me wrong, teasers and parleys are fun to do every now and then, but if you really know what you are doing its better to bet a shit load of individual games at the same or similar dollar value. If you win 53%+ you make money.

Not liking the under 64 in the Oklahoma game. Usually never bet over unders, but you seem to be good at them. I was curious before the game why you chose the under with Oklahoma playing such a weak team. 9/15/2007 5:13:28 PM |

I didnt like Utah State scoring anything... that 3 they got already might fuck me. And being 2-3 games into the year I figured once up big against a really horrible team that Oklahoma would go 3rd string, and just want to run the game out to avoid injuries 9/15/2007 5:15:22 PM |
