just got a Dual Shock 3. Thing is awesome. Great to have rumble back. Its a little bit heavier and it feels a hell of a lot more sturdy. I am definitely a fan.

Got it from this guy on ebay for about $5 more than getting one in the store (if they were over here), and received it in less than 48 hours. Awesome transaction. If you guys are interested he's got 52 left:

^ 07/08 is probably not a release date as they said the game releases in the fall in a press release. Perhaps that date is for a demo. Who knows?

Commando Rearmed (NES remake) will be dropping in May. Will have better graphics on PS3 due to size restrictions on 360. Nice that Capcom isn't going to gimp the PSN version due to this:

I thought the Pixel Junk Monsters demo was actually pretty good. Neat way of implementing a tower defense game on a console, very creative. I might actually make the purchase.

Except instead of building towers anywhere, you can only build them on trees (so no juggling hax), and every map has a different layout of trees. And you can upgrade your towers for free by standing on them and dancing.

^^it's always played a really realistic game of baseball...it does have its share of franchise problems though. The graphics are batshit insane this year though. It looks unbelievable good.


In franchise though, the salaries are all fucked up....so you will be able to sign a team full of superstars.

Also, a lot of players from the amateur draft every season are rated as all-star caliber players.... so its not uncommon to see a rookie have a .360 avg, 40 HR, 135 RBI.... or to see a pitcher go 21-3 or something.


Generally it's awesome, and way better than 2K, though. I've pre-ordered the Show for PS3 and 2k8 for 360

The commercials for MLB 08 make the graphics look terrible. Pre Dreamcast terrible. I only assume that they used poor compression when creating it.

New PS3 80gb owner here

had to drive to few stores to find the few 80gb versions that are still left in stock. I'd have to say one of the biggest reason I bought it for was the Blu-ray to match the SHARP Aquos 37" LCD HDTV I also bought this weekend.

MLB 08 The Show is AWESOME.


MLB 2K8 is awesome, also...and allows you to put custom music for all the batter/pitcher intros, and for stadium situations (on 360...not sure if this is true of the ps3)

Anybody got a PSP and try remote play much? I just got one over the weekend and have not been able to get remote play to work. I registered the PSP and set everything u to do it, but when I try to connect it times out. It lists the PS3 as a connection point, just keeps timing out. Didin;t know if anyone had this trouble that might can help. Thanks!

Kojima says they actually had to cut stuff out of MGS4 to fit it on the disc. I guess that 360 port can be ruled out definitively.

I feel like the game is a lot harder than it was. Though I played 06 The Show...I find the RTTS feature is a bit more difficult than it used to be. Was the player creation portion always that in depth? In terms of facial and body structure of the player? I don't remember that.

didn't catch until today, but they made a huge improvement to the PSN checkout process

if you have a CC on file, it's a one step process to purchase things...for example, to get the Grateful Dead pack today, I selected the pack, clicked on purchase, then confirmed purchase and started downloading...no more having to add funds and all that crap
