God damn it just feeds ignorance. It's the same god damn number it was under Bush, Clinton, HW Bush, etc. I still internally debate which is worse between FNC and MSNBC but considering the hordes of people who watch FNC it's gotta be that. 10/5/2012 1:27:19 PM |

I just wish a better unemployment estimate was used instead of trying to fool people into thinking unemployment isn't that bad. What's the real unemployment now? 15% or so?
Also, the restaurant where I ate last night had FNC on and they were showing a split screen of Osama and Obama... god I wish there had been volume so I could know what kind of bullshit they were talking.

The most endearing part of every liberal's psyche.
The desire to educate the poor seething masses and force them to do something else because their current habits are bad for them.
Cigarettes, fatty foods, soft drinks, and now cable news.

People can do whatever the fuck they want, contrary to popular belief here, and it's a disgusting display of arrogance by a few of you to claim to know any better.
Why does it make you so mad? It's not your life.
If they want to end up like Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo then more power to them.
It only makes you look like assholes to correct them.

More power to them? I mean, people should have the right to do whatever the fuck they want. But I think that more and better education would lead people to not want to end up like that. Is it okay to wish that american society valued education more, in general? Or is that a "disgusting display of arrogance"?

^^Are you trolling? July and August jobs figures were revised upward by 86,000 in this report. BLS has also estimated that 386,000 more jobs were created between April 2011 and March 2012 than originally reported.
Also, I like Fox News. There really is no better source of entertainment to turn to when good news for Obama happens.

the number of people who get their news from cable TV is dropping at a pretty staggering rate. I think most 18-34 year olds get their news from the internet, now, if that's any consolation (although the internet has some of the same issues i.e. one genius type boy.) But cable news is suffering because a lot of people just don't trust it anymore, and for good reason.10/5/2012 7:02:25 PM |

I agree. I think MSNBC is more over the top in their vitriol, as it's isolated now more to Hannity and his ilk since Beck is gone, BUT, the viewership of Fox is so much greater that their evangelical lunatics influence more people than the far left nutjobs on MSNBC.

Does MSNBC still devote three hours of their mornings to a show hosted by a former Republican Congressman who has no trouble showing his conservative bias on the air?
Yeah, as long as he has a show you really can't put MSNBC anywhere near the same category as Fox News. 10/7/2012 11:07:36 AM |

One morning show does not exempt the rest of programming. If you're a Democrat and you can't see how similar MSNBC is to Fox News then you're no better than the Republicans who tune in to Fox. 10/7/2012 12:34:57 PM |

the people who report the news are liberals, and the people/organizations who employ them are conservative...the true media bias is towards the sensational, to the simple, to whatever attracts the most eyes thus allowing them to reap the highest advertising dollars.
do either MSNBC or Fox News (or CNN) talk about NDAA? has any television news outlet much covered the Stanford/NYU report that says we're killing 50 civilians for every 1 "terrorist" with our drone attacks in Pakistan?
