yeah, unless you're supply capped, you shouldn't have spare resources. fixing that (by learning how to spend your money faster and get more units) will make you better faster than learning how to use banelings. i'd wager that a max army of roaches kills more shit than like 10 banes.

I haven't played in a while but I just got a new PC. I should be able to actually run the game on ultra and even play without lag in 4v4s, hooray! Installing all the patches then I think I'm going to try for the Starcraft Master achievements, its a new custom game where you do little skill based challenges, sounds fun.

Or maybe I'll just play skyrim now since i can do that.

The owners were StarCraft 1 fans and are letting some guys host a SC2 LAN on Tuesday nights once a month. So bring your laptop or desktop if you want to play or just come out to watch.

Pretty good I'd say. 22 people showed up. There was a small problem with the wireless that was eventually solved. We had 8 machines set up. We played some team monobattles, people played 1v1s. The majority of people there were silver-gold league. The last monobattle we had I drew random ultralisk. I put whatever ultras I had into my overlords and split them up to drop the last two bases. When I got to each base I did my best CatZ impression. "Ultralisk drop harass, the real question is: which overlord is the ultralisk in?"

Because of the big success of the 1st event, Blinco's has given us free reign on the next 4 Tuesdays. I'm not sure the next time I'll be going. If I can get all my schoolwork done this weekend, I'll go next Tuesday.

how about DRG getting knocked into Code A by Terrans while July advances to Ro16 by defeating Terrans? Plus July plays a balls-to-walls aggro style which takes balls and is way more entertaining to watch IMO than DRG's safer macro play.

Yes in BroodWar July was king, but those days are over. One round of GSL, especially considering DRG just won the last GSL, doesn't make July all of a sudden King and DRG overrated.

July is nowhere near the same tier as DRG is right now. And I am a fan of July.

Alkatraz and I were playing a bunch of team monobattles tonight. In one game we drew reapers (me), immortals (alk), carrier and void ray vs muta, reaper, medivac and zealot.

So basically if we can kill the muta guy, we win. Well our carrier ally quits 30 seconds in. I managed to do significant enough damage to the muta guy that he was wayyy delayed, then I ended up basically losing to mass zealot. But at this point it didn't matter - our void ray guy had 10 voids.. all he has to do is go A-move to win. Instead he just sits there, while I ask for control and try and get him to wake up. He just keeps making void rays, meanwhile his base starts getting raped by mass zealots, and he moves his void rays away. It went back and forth until basically we had a situation where i was floating my CC and a couple barracks, the medivac guy was holed up behind 40 turrets, and the retarded void ray guy is flying around doing nothing. All he had to do was sit on top of his own base, build 30 more void rays and it was over. Instead he wastes a ton of time and basically comes about as close to losing as you can.

To an enemy who can't shoot up.

.. so how did your ally lose his void rays? i would imagine if you guys stuck in the game long enough (and the VR guy left) you could've finished it with a CC floating in the corner of the map

Yeah he just kept running them into turrets while the opponents kept mass expanding and sending zealots to kill alk and I who were trying to rebuild. Rather then actually finishing off an opponent he would just basically wander in circles.
