I got a text from the person whom I am going with that Marty will not be in net tonight so I am not sure if I want to go through all of the trouble of dressing up just for a Devils loss. I'd almost rather cheer for the Canes. Don't get me wrong, I think Weekes is a great guy and would love to meet him but with the grit and determination that the Canes have been playing with lately I don't see Kevin and the Devils seemingly rag-tag defense being able to keep more pucks out of the net than they put in. This is predicated on the notion that Colin White is still bothered by that upper body injury.

Oh well. I may dress up if for no other reason than to yell for Zach and Patrick in hopes of catching their attention. Don't be afraid to come up and say 'hi'. I don't bite too hard.

Why didn't Lou try to trade him and keep Clemmenson out of the minors? I'm sorry I like Weekes, but he's not that good anymore (if ever really he just had flashes of brilliance).

Great game tonight, the Babchuk cannon was unloading them tonight which always makes me happy. Scoring 3 power play goals against the 2nd best road kill in the East is always a reason to be happy. Hopefully we can take care of business Friday against the now hot Islanders and Saturday against the Caps. If we can win those games and get some help things look good! The team is playing well and I hope we don't change a thing down the stretch. Brindy has looked great the past 3 or so weeks and I hope he can keep it up. The only thing that scared me about tonight was the "defense" played by the Ruutu-Staal-Cole line as it was definitely lacking at times, but otherwise, I loved tonight's game!

I know this is post facto, but replace Weekes with Marty, add Colin White on D and have the Devils act like they give a damn in the first 15 mins and the game would have been wildly different. I don't aim to undercut the grit and heart shown by the Canes and Cam's stellar performance but it looked like the Devils were just tired from their win against Chicago.

I am also kinda sad that no one came up to say hi.

Forgot to mention that at the Devils game, sitting in section 125 where the opposing team enters and leaves the ice, the guy in front of me was harassing Shanahan all night and got him to respond. When he was exiting after the 2nd period, he stopped, pointed at the guy, and said something to the effect of, "I'll kick your ass you fat fuck, you, and your son." It was hilarious, considering the guy with him was a co-worker, although he did look young enough to be his son. Good times, good times.
