It's not classless, its a tradition, and since we dont have THAT many traditions. plus, when i see military vets at football/basketball games partaking in the "Red/Wolfpack" chants of the national anthem as well, then it's all good!

sooo, after i saw my ecu co-workers yesterday who went to the game, they told me that it was the NCSU fans that were 'classless'. they spoke of the ncsu fans kind of asking to be a target (ie, talking and chanting obnoxiously, standing on top of the bleacher seat vs step, egging the less-vocal ecu fans on, etc.). now, i wasn't at the game, but i could definitely see some of our fans doing this (maybe 1 out of 20 ncsu fans obnoxious). i also believe that these ecu fans have on their purple and gold blinders (i'm guessing 15 out of 20 ecu fans are obnoxious).

i was at the game and to me it seemed like a pretty cordial atmosphere between fans. i wasn't sitting near ecu season ticket holders or students though and I didn't tailgate near them either.

Some drunk wolfpack fan was being loud and obnoxious while his gf laughed. He there weren't many pack fans in our section but nobody really said anything back. He shut up as the game wore on & had a big dumb grin afterward. Nobody rushed the field when it was over.... Nobody yelled PURPLE! GOLD! at state fans afterward. After leaving the stadium you'd have thought we beat Tulane. It was calm and cordial. Def not the case when I was at CF last time. Someone threw a can at my gf at the time and beer was poured on an old man. Both sides have idiot fans.... It's just the nature of the beast

Uh I was there and they yelled purple and gold all night long. When you yell purple to a white person....they WILL scream gold. The youtube video doesnt lie. Everyone was jumping up and down so I dont know what you are talking about because I had to walk right past all the students leaving. Was awkward. Still had a great time in Gvegas but take off your blinders.

My girlfriend was surprised at how quiet The Fick was. It really doesn't compare to The Carter, and this was a good game to gauge how loud it gets there.

The stadium is nice.. for a mid-major football program.

Too bad our nice stadium hasn't helped our record yet. This year could be the turning year though, depends on how the FSU game goes.

^Hasn't helped us this year? Quarterbacks have had a lot of trouble getting calls off near the south end zone. Not to mention the early snaps and blown assignments (Cincy comes to mind)

Stadium can't make a QB throw easy passes over the middle instead of 60 yard bombs.

I got an email from Debbie Yow today, she agreed that this series means more to ECU than STATE.

She stated she inherited 2 more contracted games with ecu in 2013 and 2016. She has "no plans to schedule any additional games"..

Also said the barrel was a surprise to her...
