I'm actually a little relieved by this. Living in South Carolina, I've been giving USC fans a lot of shit the past few years about their obsession with their baseball championships. I would have been a hypocrite if I started crowing about us.

Lets be real...very few people really give a fuck about college baseball. I still hope UNC loses...but let's concentrate on the real collegiate sports.

I guess it's better that we ended the train wreck in the losers bracket instead of beating UCLA. We all know that if we had beaten UCLA, we would instead have had to endure two straight losses to the tarholes.

We made what amounted to the final 6 in baseball with a preseason top 8 ranking. We had a great year and with Rodon, Jernigan and Stone back next year we should have the best starting rotation in the ACC next year. We lose a lot of bullpen guys, but with a rotation that should be more consistent we won't need as many senior relievers as we had this season.

Great season Pack! Preseason number 8 and in the last 5 in the nation, most wins in school history and first College World Series in 45 years. Great season, so proud! Way to go Wolfpack!
