FSU was able to extend the lead in the third quarter and defeat Georgia Tech 38-10 in the ACC championship game.

T. Parks had 2 Interceptions, one returned 100 yards for a touchdown. C. Ponder threw for three touchdowns as well. Georgia Tech had good drives in the first half but were shutdown for most of the second half.

It will be interesting to see if FSU's win can help them leapfrog the undefeated Fresno State Bulldogs and the one loss Buckeyes into 2nd in the BCS. Heading into the ACC CG they were only .011 points behind Fresno State.

yeh I was just looking at this. Not sure if it will happen though since they were both idle. It will be interesting to see what happens since you did win the CG. Personally, I am rooting for the other FSU, because I like the BCS busters

I think we'll take a break from Wed-Sun for thanksgiving. There's 4 bowl games left, so if everyone finishes I'll go ahead and switch to the offseason and see how far we get before wed.

UVA wins the music city bowl with a 43-33 victory over ole miss and finishes with 9 wins. The nation's 6th ranked passing offense put on an aerial assault for 485 yds, 3 TD's but 5 ints kept the game way too close. Lalich finishes his junior season with nearly 4k yds through the air and 6500 on his career.

FSU dominates Pitt 49-13 in the Orange Bowl. FSU's defense was able to force 4 turnovers, 2 of which were returned for touchdowns. Pitt lead going into the second quarter 10-7; however 3 second quarter FSU touchdowns broke the game wide open. Pitt's kicker made a 57 yard field goal at the end of the second which brought the game to 28-13.

In the second half the FSU defense forced 3 interceptions and was able to stifle the Pitt offense otherwise. The vaunted Pitt running game never got off the ground, only rushing for 88 yards and passing for 154. The Florida State offense, led by a potent backfield of Ponder (QB) and Pressley (HB) was nearly unstoppable. Ponder ended the game 13-15 for 2 TDs, and 234 yards. Pressley rushed for 112 yards and was able to keep the Pitt defense off balance.

NC State finishes the season with a defensive standoff against #20 Texas winning 13-3. Texas' lone points came on a 55 yard field goal in the 3rd quarter. The only other time Texas had the ball on NC State's side of the 50 they resulted in an interception in the end zone.
