You know what, it's almost embarrassing for UConn to be a BCS team (WVU would've been better for the conference and for whatever opponent is forced to play them) but whatever... those are the rules. It's equally as embarrassing for an undefeated team from whatever conference to not even get a chance to win a title.

This should be an indictment on the entire system and not the individual programs. Unfortunately, now that TCU and probably UCF will be in the Big East the status quo will remain in perpetuity. No conference is going to lose the autobid, nothing will change and every year we'll sit here yelling and screaming about the shitty system... until an undefeated Florida, Alabama, Ohio State or Michigan team gets shut out of a title.

** And for the record, people should learn that definitive statements about bowl games are absurd after Utah-Alabama, Boise-Oklahoma and WVU-Oklahoma
