nice

but i hate changing clothes like 3 times a day sometimes. I suppose it's better than heat stroke though

^^I believe you may need more deoderant if you have to change multiple times throughout the day.

^^I'm talking about doing anything outside in this weather. I start sweating through my shirt just taking the dog out.

and for some reason the other day when I was laying on the couch saturday afternoon i started sweating profusely (it was around 78 in the house at the time).

I don't think deoderant will help if its pouring off my forehead

I don't mind the sweat, gives me a competitive advantage when playing sports. Makes me slippery!

So it looks like I've lost a total of 30lbs.
i have about 80 more to go.

I went from benching 125 to 150 since May 1st. Which is great considering I started at 85 in December. LOL.

I've been stagnant on the flat DB press for 3 weeks now. I can NOT burst through the 60 lb DBs to save my life. I am able to do about 6-8 a set depending on energy level.

Any ideas?

(also, I find some days even after lifting and running I still have excess energy -- like today for instance -- should I go out and do another 2-3 mile jog? Just deal with the excess energy? what?)

Why don't you add complication to your workouts to use the extra energy while you're working out

Well, I work out early morning and usually I'm tired by about this time but recently I've noticed I've been having more energy pre-dinner time. I guess I should probably work tennis/basketball in to my semi-regular rotation more often...

I guess I'm just worried about overworking my body and burning more muscle than I should be.

when you say you can't burst through them, do you mean you are doing 3-4 sets at 6-8 reps at 60 right now and can't move up to the next set? (65 or 70 or whatever increments your gym uses). And also, if that is the case, are you trying to jump to say 65 and do 3-4 sets at 6-8 reps of that or are you stepping into it or what?

People often comment how I can sweat just sitting there in even low-90s weather.

Did about 45 minutes of intervals on the treadmill today

I wonder if sweating at room temperature is a symptom of high blood pressure, which increases body heat.

I'm the opposite. I used to think only fatties sweat as much as I do but I was told recently that the more in shape you are the more you should be sweating. Let me find the article.

well if you are in better shape isn't it gonna take more for you too sweat because its easier?

so if you are 200 lb running 4 miles and then you drop to 150 and run 4 miles at the same speed, you would sweat less because its not much of a workout anymore.
now i imagine you would sweat MORE if you were 150lbs and added a 50 lb vest.

i dont know about this though, just thinking

Checking in, taken earlier today... I really don't see much of a difference from now and the picture I took before I left for Europe; I guess I'm just back to where I was after taking a week off. The next 2 weeks are gonna hopefully consist of 2-a-day workouts, running, and swimming.

people seem to ask me why I am not sweating when they are dripping while just sitting there, i simply reply that I don't sweat, I glisten, because I'm in shape

i always say it halfway joking though, but it seems to make sense to me (using Joie logic)

I've consumed about 1000 calories in junk food tonight.

3 cans of Mountain Dew - 510 cal.
Chips and sugar waffers- ~490 cal.

Should make for an interesting swim in about 6 hours...

Your body will laugh at that. 1000 calories is nothing anyways. I eat that much before 9AM!! Mmmmhhhmmm bagels and milk.

You up for swimming after your class? I got teh 'gear' now!!!!

It can be 80° and if I'm just sitting around I will sweat. 90s will have me dripping. And this is without factoring in sunlight.

Wow. I have to keep my house at 80 degrees in warmer months just to ease the transition from AC to 100-degree Florida heat. It gets so warm here that if you have a sweating problem, you're screwed.
