We are fucked for next year. FIRE AVENT. Obviously he doesn't know how to coach a team to success. He's given the #1 draft pick and can't even beat a 4th string pitcher who throws homerun pitches all game long. We could probably use some more parking over there near the baseball stadium; I'm thinking we building the Avent Parking Complex right over the stadium.

That's why seeing that we lose 4 seniors from our lineup probably isn't that big of a deal at least offensively. Losing Canela, Diaz and Matthews from last years team killed the middle of our order this season, hopefully we can plug a few of next year's sophomores in and they can do a better job of rounding out the lineup.

I have no idea how baseball recruiting goes with time periods, but I don't know if that list includes any, or all, of any JUCO players that may come to State next year. Based on the thread on Pack Pride, Suggs seems like a really good get, but yeah the next class (2015) sounds like a big one.

Baseball recruiting is all over the place. and you can have an awesome class, but come draft time you are probably gonna lose 1 to 2 of your stellar recruits to the pros.

^This is what has happened to Texas. They recruited too many guys who were drafted and signed, so the recruits who actually came to campus were not good and they scrambled to find players to fill the roster.

The key is building a class around good players who would be on the draft bubble coming out of high school and then try and get a couple really good guys who will get drafted, but might not sign. Of course, sometimes you just have to get lucky and uncover a gem.

Turner's only other D1 offer was FAU. Rodon was drafted in the later rounds even though he had the talent due to it being known his mom wanted him to go to college. Austin was the main surprise, but I've heard he didn't sign because his older brother is in the minors and told him to go to college first.

Talked to this chick last night who's dad is a scout for the Braves...who use to be an assistant under Avent and a coach at Auburn. Said Avent lobbied for the job Auburn job, almost had it...but this chick's dad was contacted by the Auburn staff and he told them not to hire him.

Don't know how legit the story is...but the first time I met this girl and found out who her dad was we talked about how much everyone dislikes Avent (mostly her dad and a couple guys I knew in the program while at State). So its definitely not something she made up on the spot.

She also didn't tell me the story in a, "Avent sucks" type of way. It was more of a..."you guys had a great year and you should be glad you still have your coach because he was pretty much heading to Auburn if not for my dad." Apparently Avent's wife went to Auburn as well??

That's all. Oh...and this girl is hot and if I wasn't engaged I'd be balls in on trying to bang her and hooking Ernie, Jeepin4x4, and Jaybee1200 with Braves schwag.

I don't have a type, but this chick meets my criteria. Good looking, nice, and has a good job (graphic designer). Pluses are that she likes sports and has an immediate relative that works in professional sports. I could care less for the Braves...but I like baseball. This chick's mom still lives in Raleigh and is friends with the Rodons.

Her friend just hit me up on facebook telling me that I should ask this her out. I just had to let the cat out of the bag that I'm engaged.

When talking with hot girls...I only bring it up of it's asked. I purposely avoid stories or statements where "my fiancee" would be mentioned. At the same time, I never cross the line and ask for numbers/contact info, etc. I always avoid "meeting up" and move the topic of conversation when I see it getting into, "so what are you up to this weekend?" type of shit.

But I've played the game and flirted for so long that it's almost impossible for me to stop. I also love interacting with females. My fiancee knows this as well. I've told her on many occasions that men are the ones that need the engagement rings.
