USA losing to Algeria = USA eliminated. USA would finish with 2 points and Algeria would have at least 3.

USA tying Algeria could work only if England ties Algeria and either loses or ties to Slovenia. (edited a scenario to my last post of last page)

yeah, just saw the replay again. the linesman keeps his flag down, so it probably wasn't an offsides that the ref saw. i'm guessing he saw bocanegra go down, and got whistle happy, which is horseshit, because everyone was jostling for position, and that's generally a no-call. and as i've said before, if you aren't 100% sure of the call, you can't disallow a goal in the world cup. this guy probably won't be reffing again in this tourny.

for once, I can't really complain about BB. He gambled with Torres (like we all wanted) and he just wasn't good enough... even if Edu wasn't anything special, he was an upgrade at halftime. Feilhaber over Holden as a sub is questionable but I'm not sure how different things would have been.

Is Clark really the best option alongside Bradley in our midfield? Yikes.



Forgot about Findley starting. That was a mistake too. Won't have to worry about that against Algeria though as he's suspended for yellows... guess we'll see Buddle.

David James is a very competent keeper. i'd say he's better than green and should have been starting from the beginning, but that's just my opinion.
