I used to work at Starbucks a couple years ago. I thought I was the biggest coffee snob because I had taken all these classes and drank 5 cups a day.

Sadly, it took me 2 years to realize how much that place SUCKS.

I decided that I was never going to go to Starbucks unless it was COMPLETELY necessary. So what do I continue to receive as presents? Starbucks giftcards.

By in large I've found Starbucks coffee to be consistently above average. The espresso is rarely anything to write home about. You find lots of range in independent coffee shops. Some of them are down right wretched while others are pretty good or even amazing.

Best coffee hands down is Driade in Chapel Hill.

Hands down, Global Village's raspberry mochas are the BEST! Actually, anything from Global Village rocks!

Starbucks is definitely not the greatest. The only good thing that comes from Starbucks is Frappuccinos.
