i'll admit it, he weirded me out at first too. however, he's actually a REALLY smart guy and the way he talks in english is because it's not his first language. he's from somewhere in or around russia (ukraine, maybe?) i studied iwth him for a few classes, and we both helped each other out alot. once he was talkign to his mom on the cellphone in his native language, russian I guess, and he certainly didn't stutter AT ALL like he does with english. in fact, he was talking fast as fuck.

anyway the point is, this is a great thread, but don't go INSULTING people because they're weird. I knew alot of people who were mean to alex because he's so different, and they never even tried to get to know him.

in the case of the elf girl, she really is obnoxious and she really does need to be taught how to shut her mouth and let others talk in group situations. i also found out she squatted in a friend of a friends dorm room once and would not leave when asked to.

as for what i was saying about the otakus: what i find so annoying about them is that they have a ton of misconceptions about Japan and Japanese people. Japanese people are not like the characters you see in anime. They act more European than anything else. Also, It's stupid to assume they automatically know what youre talking about when you mention some anime series. Anime is no more popular over there than Disney or Looney Tunes cartoons are over here. Some people seem to think it must be the way of life over there. It isnt.

Oh yeah, I remember rattail boy. He was probably the first weirdo from this thread I remember seeing.

There was also another guy that had the Anakin Sywalker braid I used to see around.
