you are my favorite person right now!

I am rewatching season 2. I cant believe Michael Bluth will never get the opportunity to stay with a girl for longer than a few episodes.

I borrowed the set of the first two seasons from a friend and watched them all in a month. I wish I had my own copy so I could relive the magic.

So apparently I was out of town for a week during the season, and had never seen "Making a Stand" or the first act of "SOBs." "Making a Stand" is fucking hilarious...I love me some J. Walter Weatherman.

finally watching season 3 now, but i'm a bit dissapointed. did the writers change after season 2? the episodes still have their funny parts (i'm through the first disc), but i feel like the writing isn't as solid.. it feels like the jokes aren't as subtle, and the storylines a little forced

That's what happens when you cut it down to half a season.

There were just too many good ideas to throw them all out, so the Tobias lines come faster and all that stuff. If you want a to see a perfect example of too many good ideas crammed into one episode, watch the original pilot of Strangers with Candy. It's a half hour show that features main storylines from three or four series episodes.

It gets MARKEDLY better.

I thought the first episode was weak, but the rest were goddamn hilarious.

The last four episodes or so is some of their best work. Absolutely golden.

Lucille: Which it would have been if Michael hadn’t been so busy with his... English muffin.

G.O.B.: Typical.

Buster: Delicious.

Lucille: I need a drink.

Buster: I’ll take an English muffin.

--

BTW, the show is now in reruns on G4. Tonight they showed the pilot through "Marta Complex" (I think, might've been one earlier). The shows are edited in sort of a choppy way, such as a commercial between the epilogue and the end credits, but I'm glad to see them on TV.

HDNet also picked up Arrested Development. This will be the first time season one has been seen in high definition too, as FOX still did the 480p widescreen during the first season. The first two episodes of season one, "Pilot" and "Top Banana", air Wednesday at 10PM after Dead Like Me, followed by a repeat of both episodes at 1AM.

i'm working my way through season 3 right now (came last week from amazon). I just watched the jetsuit - Tinyland episode with the Japanese investors....GREAT STUFF.

The end of the third season (iirc) was really, really great. they started doing a bunch of HBO and Showtime jokes, and the narrator was pleading with the audience to get more people to watch the show....it was so good....

since Jeffrey Tambor is now on that lame show on NBC (?) I guess Arrested Development is officially dead?

whoever has out season 3 disc one from the avent ferry blockbuster, i'll make you a deal to return disc two if you return disc one kkthxlol

but seriously, take it back. i don't want to watch this shit out of order but if i finish tokyo drift, x3, and thank you for smoking before you bring it back, i will be forced to ruin my season 3 experience.

spookyjon brought to my attention a more detailed account of something that I only vaguely had knowledge of:

Note the album title, "My Name is Roosevelt Franklin."

it's really only about half off the normal price if you bought all of them separately. so it's not THAT outrageous.

True. My GF wanted to get these at best buy and I was all like naaa I can just download them... but then I realized that downloading rips and converting to dvds took way too much time, so... hello christmas present.
