Two thumbs up from me. So much better than the Spiderman movies which I find the story to be dull. The product placement really worked in this film too. federal and I enjoyed some Burger King after the show.

The product placement wasn't that bad.

And seriously I can't think of any more of a faggot thing to do then cry about product placement.

OH NO, THEY USE REAL PRODUCTS, FUCK THIS SHIT. WHERE'S MY RED APPLE CIGS AND KAUHNA BURGER?

Fantastic movie, great cast, great special effects. It's the best comic book movie to date, thougth I think The Dark Knight will be even better.

It's well worth your $9.25 even if you aren't a comic book fan.

It was a good movie but not one that I would intentionally want to see again.

Especially after the way I was brainwashed into buying an Audi and an LG phone with Verizon service.

I was psyched to see this movie and it didn't disappoint.

Best movie I've seen so far. The rest of the blockbusters are coming though, so we'll see if it can match up. Iron Man set a high standard.

well, if i was over at a friend's house and they wanted to watch it, i wouldn't object. but i wouldn't go out of my way intentionally to see it, i.e buying the dvd, renting it.

I reckon I'll probably go see this at least another 2 times in the theater. And it'll definitely be a first-day DVD purchase for me. I'm gonna go buy the soundtrack/score as well. And don't even get me started on the toys - both the mkIII armor and War Machine armor are standing here on my desk right now.

Yeah, it was that good to me.

I thought it was great, as did the gf, but I have the curse of being an engineer so a lot of things (the flying and stuff) had me trying very hard to suspend my disbelief. The one thing that really stood out to me (I'm sure it is explained in the comic books somewhere) is the fuel he uses to provide his thrust. He didn't have fuel tanks as far as I could tell, and believing that he had some kind of hidden fuel tanks a stretch even for a comic book.

for a comic book movie I thought this was great. I sort of liked the 2nd spiderman, thought the first and 3rd were crap. I thought the first Xmen was just 'ok' at best and the 2nd and third were terrible, hated the hulk and fantastic four etc. Also, not really a superhero movie but I also disliked Transformers (seems to go with the same crowd).

basically the only comic book movie (until now) that has been made since this new craze that i have really enjoyed was the last Batman movie, but I really enjoyed this one as well. Not saying this movie is a great movie, but within the context of comic book movies and what you expect out of them, and considering how much ive hated pretty much all the rest of them that have been made, this one was a notch above the rest.

I think that it's not really a fuel based system, it's more of an energy projector, like the repulsor beams on the gloves.

That's why flight uses up the energy reserves (the computer counting down the power he had left when he was flying up) rather than fuel.

i really enjoyed this. I took a non-superhero type with me. He knew nothing about Iron Man before we went in but totally loved the movie. The cast and dynamic was great. R.D.Jr played tony stark perfectly, i though. I hope they can keep the same cast and crew for additional chapters in this franchise b/c they got it right.

and yes, i was that guy whistling Iron Man on the way out

This was soooo much better than I thought it would be. The humor was much less cheesy than Transformers, and the action rocked, as did the story. The only thing though, is that I want to punch whoever came up with the name "Pepper Potts".

Pepper Pots is the name of his assistant and was made in like the 50s or whenever Ironman was created, and they gave her the name Virginia 'Pepper' Pots later.

It is agreeably a horrible name.

That's not what I meant. I understood what it was made OF, I just would like to know more about how the manufacturing process and materials are explained. I mean, vast quantities of gold titanium alloys aren't just sitting around my house. I suppose one could say that his house simply contains some kind of raw materials stockpile for when he becomes inspired...

Saw this Friday night (note I'm not a big comics fan and knew almost nothing about it going in...) and thought it was an excellent movie...not 10/10 but I'd have no problem with giving it 9/10. The character development was good, CGI was nicely done and most of the dialogue was really good. The product placement wasn't terrible...yeah, the Burger King one was a little bit 'wtf?' because you wouldn't think a multimillionaire would eat there, but... And the R8 and S6 are badass enough cars that I rather enjoyed that.

Obviously from the end they want to make a sequel, and from the responses I've heard so far, I think we'll get one. Maybe they'll resolve the relationship between Stark and Potts if so, and go further into SHIELD.

I also didn't stay until the end of the credits because the folks I went with wanted to leave. If anyone knows where to find it online, please post it or PM me...then again, I may go see it a second time anyhow.

We saw it at Beaver Creek (lol) in Apex, thinking that it would be less crowded than North Hills, Crossroads, Brier Creek, Grande, etc. While we may have been right, it was still crowded (9:30 show was sold out so we had to wait until the 10:00, which was at least 75% full...) Was $9.25 there.

great movie!

the funniest fire safety robot I've ever seen, that thing got a ton of laughs from the audience

I didn't know anything about Iron Man. there were some kinda cheesy parts but overall I loved it! have to say I was glad that Tony and pepper didn't get together.

great movie, the two years since we heard about it have been worth the wait. i was very impressed with how simple the story was ala spider-man 1, and pulled off making it feel so engrossing.

the ending was great, i mean that was definitely in the character of Tony Stark. i cannot wait for the Blu-Ray. and i've never said that about a movie before today.

i think it was on Par with Transformers. Both were equally awesome and great. And tied for best Marvel movie with Spider-man 2, IMO.

and here's hope for an awesome crossover sequel. however what was said could be hard pressed to pull off if it involves original characters. however if it involves new ones from today's marvel, it could be a freaking blast.
